I 'split' a few things with customers who wanted only half of the special offers, because I did too....I paid and got half and so did they....I ended up with 7 bags of Black Cedar Mulch and 1 Sunbrite Tomato plant.....LOL
And I got a Miscanthus Sen. Zebrina......I have been looking for one since I came to Canada (Cambodia?)
Hugs to you all........Thanks for the last couple of days, I need(ed) it.

WOO HOO, J!!!
KUDOS to you for running the place with awesome success for the past two days! Knew you'd be EXCELLENT at it!
Yeah, tired - I bet. Put your feet up, woman. While giving yourself a big ol' pat on the back for a job well done.
And, CONGRATULATIONS for super intelligent practice of Retail Therapy!!! Oooh, BLACK cedar mulch? That's HOT, J - the latest, sexy thing for us gardeners to do. Will that Miscanthus return for you, up there? Down here, we've had ZERO luck with the so-called perennial ornamental grasses... So, gave up and stopped buying 'em. Might as well dig a hole and bury the damned money. Perennial my arse... Good luck with yours!
Kindest regards, Susan0 -

I'll Cloche it over winter, but the bark mulch might help. I had a young guy working for me today (22-23ish) and I asked him to help me load the mulch.........he said..."OK 7 bags of red cedar..........." I was mortified.........."RED?" NOWAY I'm not a Public Convenience building!......"Black......man......Black"
You just can't get the staff these-days!

Honestly, never even thought to use a cloche. Thanks, J. I'm inspired now. To pick up yet another ornamental grass. I LOVE THEM, they're so beautiful, and I love the movement as they sway about in the breeze. Really, they're so expensive - and, we've never gotten more than one season from them.
So - I'll try the cloche. Glass, I assume?
By the way, that young dude - cute? Nice? :-)
Just wondering...

He's a nice kid.........But definitely not cute......Well not to me. He's a good hard working lad but he sure can talk, once you get him started, you can't shut the bugger up!
At My age.......Cute only happens over 35
I'll keep you posted on how my 3500.00 day went.
It doesn't need to be glass........3 inches mulch and cover with even a plastic bottle with the bottom cut out will do.
I love grasses too. Hugs Jxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Again, thanks! Plastic bottle - nice and thrifty! AND a way to recycle. Fabulous, on both counts! :-)

Glad you have 2 days off Tasha. I hope you can just enjoy them doing whatever you want. And, I have lots of ornamental grasses. Live in the Midwest and have no problem with them. I love to see the wind blow them. Enjoy your time off!0
