Just a quick post.......
My husband unexpectedly needed bypass surgery...that happened yesterday. But he has been hospitalized since last Tuesday.
He came through the surgery and is in the Open Heart Unit at the hospital. Things are very encouraging!
It's an hour commute to the hospital, and so I have been gone most of each day and evenings.
Haven't had much time to do anything else.
If he comes home by Wednesday, I have to get someone to stay with him while I go for my Herceptin infusion, but I think I may have that covered.
A special thank you to ChristmasGirl! You have been sooo supportive and encouraging! You will never know how much that means to me!
Hello to all of the new sisters who have joined the board! I want to get to know each and every one of you! I will hopefully have a bit of time in the next couple of days to catch up on posts.
So, just wanted to let you all know that I have not been abducted by aliens or anything like that. Will be back posting more soon!!
Hugs!!

Hi CR...boy what a week you have had. Please know we are all here for you, and will give support far and wide for whatever you may be facing. It sounds like your hubby is doing okay, and will soon be home where you can keep an eye on him easier. Life doesn't seem to be an easy journey, but even the little things like not having to make daily trips to the hospital seem to take on a blessed feeling. You are in my thoughts, and I wil be here if you need to talk. Take care of you! Hugs.

I am sending well wishes to your husband for a fast recovery from his bypass surgery(Was it a CABG?). He will recover well and the exercise he will do with the new puppy will be good for him and you.
Best wishes and speedy recovery.

You are all so awesome and I thank you for all of the well wishes and prayers.
Hubby looked very good today when I visited, so I'm really encouraged!
He had been having chest "pressure" for a couple of years, come to find out. It had gotten worse lately & he finally HAD to tell his doctor.
I, of course, was upset with him about it because he never mentioned the problem to me. I had no idea.
He said he didn't want to burden me with it because I had my own health problems that he had to see me through. He didn't want to worry me.
But, it looks like everything will be ok, so.........
Thank you T, Pammy & Kit, for posting. I truly appreciate your kind words. I will get to know you very soon. You'll see.....the others will tell you that they can't shut me up on here!! LOL! I just yack, yack, yack!!

Glad to hear everything went OK for hubby. I know the bypass surgery is so advanced now, my brother had a quintuple June 4, was out of the hospital in 4 days, and recovered very quickly. One of the things they want to make sure he watches out for swelling in the ankles and feet. My bro had cankles alot, and had to put the feet up for quite a while to get the swelling down.
Thanks for letting us know, and keep in touch when you can!
