Tommorrow's the day
I got permission to take a valium first friday. I am going to try to be tough about having my hubby in the room with me. Last year they made him stay in the waiting room. I was told that I will more than likely have extra bruising/swelling because of being on blood thinners.
I feel like the lump on my left side has gotten a little bigger and I can feel another. I am just taking one day at a time. Atleast I am healing up better from my hysterectomy so I wont have double the pain. I'm nervous about not finding out the results until monday. Then I need to talk to the surgeon about getting the lumpectomy's scheduled, at least for that you are asleep.
I am having alot of different feelings about all of this, and am tryiing not to worry about it.

Kit, good luck tomorrow onaustingrl said:Tomorrow
Hey, Kit
Just want you to know that I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. When do you think you'll have the results? It will likely be Mon or Tues for mine.
Kit, good luck tomorrow on your biopsies. Let us know when you get results. You will be thought of often, and prayers are lifted up for you as you go through this procedure. It will be over before you know it. Hugs.

Biopsy
The valium sounds like a good idea, Kit. I wish I had had one. Good for you on pushing for your husband. It is never too early to begin advocating for yourself on this cancer journey. So you see, whether he is allowed or not, you are already showing your strength and determination. You are not a victim.
As far as the waiting until Monday, can you schedule lots of activities to keep you busy? Maybe sweetheart Daisy would enjoy an extra romp or walk. I wish I could make the time pass more quickly for you. I will be thinking of you and Austingrl and hoping for good news.0 -
Good luck, Kit
I will be thinking of you tomorrow, Kit. It's only natural to be nervous. Definitely take that valium. I had two tylenol and a xanax before mine and it was a snap. I know it's hard not to worry, but like Moopy says, maybe having some good activities to look forward to will help. Can you have a spa day on Saturday? Or maybe go out for a nice dinner and a movie with your hubby. Also, post here if you feel like it. My best wishes.

Keep your chin up
We'll all be thinking about you kit. Keep your chin up. I never even thought about insisting my hubby be there with me....what a comfort!! Bet your butt from now on he'll be holding my hand! (he actually feels bad he didn't think of it himself when I just mentioned it to him). Best wishes & hugs Pammy0 -

Tomorrow
I've done the biopsy. It wasn't nearly as bad as the surgery that followed closely on it's heels. Think positive. There will be a couple of moments when it may pinch or sting just a bit but, if there's no malignancy, that's it. My prayers are with you for an easy biopsy with no malignancy.0 -
Yes Kit, take the valium for
Yes Kit, take the valium for sure. And, good luck with getting your husband in the room with you. I hope they will let him stay. Sometimes, we just have to get firm with them, after all, this is our treatment, our bodies and our money paying for this. I know you are worried, it is very understandable. We all do. But, just remember Kit, that you have a bunch of sweet, loving, understanding bc survivors here, rooting for you and anxiously awaiting good news from you. OK? Good luck Kit! Hugs, Jeanne0 -
Good Luck Kit, you'll be OK.
Good Luck Kit, you'll be OK. It'll be done before you know it. Remember to take deep breaths and stay calm. You'll be fine.

HUGS
Kit, if you want your husband in the room then he should be in the room. My husband was in the room for my needle biopsy and it was truly helpful for me. Try to keep yourself busy over the weekend so you don't have to stress too much, perhaps you could go see a movie or go for a long drive....anything to divert your worries. Know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers!
