non-hodgkin lymphoma

My now youngest brother ( the first youngest passed away in 2005, due to a fall from a bridge), was diagnosed in Nov 2008 with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. according to his doctor, he has the most aggressive form that she has seen in her career. He has tried every chemo, radiation and can't progress enough for a bone marrow transplant. Nothing has helped. He has remained alive by having blood transfusions every week, sometimes every other day, and getting two units of platelets daily. Does anyone else have or know someone that has this in such an aggressive form? If so, Has anything worked for you or them? We are grasping a straws now. The only good thing is that he has Jesus Christ in his life and I believe that is wha is keeping him alive to this day. No treatment has worked. The cancer just eats it up.

    Prayer is powerful - especially Group Prayer
    Hi Little Sister, I am a 20 year survivor of NHL and have been considered cured so it is possible to beat this thing, I am living proof. I really don't remember what kind I had in how aggressive it was but I don't think anything is impossible if you have your faith. I know that while I was in hospital I had several prayer chains in churches going for me and I received a real healing in the hospital during that time - no coincidence there.

    I also came to know, after I had left the hospital, about a saint who peaked my interest, the Order she founded is in the States. I don't go to church much at all anymore and don't carry around a bible and preach - far from it - but this saint really pulled at me. I got to know the Order online and they have a prayer chain there where the Sisters take prayer requests. I have seem alot of special moments come from connecting with the Sisters and this saint. Have you all contacted "Cancer Treatments of America"? Check out there website for more information. Here is a little prayer for you bother. This is a prayer that my now deceased mother taught too me at a very young age, and now that I am 39 it still stays with me always even in the toughest times. I was 34 when I was first diagnosed. There is still hope out there.

    Prayer
    There is certainly nothing like the power of prayer. Prayer is what is going to get your family through this. My diagnosis was agressive and as my dr has to keep reminding me, I was "pretty beat up" when diagnosed. It was the prayers of the righteous that got me through the ordeal. I was too sick to pray for myself.
