Diversity
I'll admit that I'm weird. I LOVE it when people disagree with me. It makes me think. It changes my opinion. It makes me a better person. I like to see religious posts, regardless of the individual’s religious beliefs. I like to see anti-religious thoughts. I don't like either side taking shots or being rude. Both have here. How disrespectful many have been. It truly has changed my opinion of many here. I didn't know I'd be judged by my politics or religion here. Clearly, that can happen very easily.
I don't believe in the same treatment options as everyone, but I'm very interested in their point of view. Religion is part of everyone’s treatment plan. We all re-evaluated our stance on particular religions when diagnosed. So is it wrong to say I negotiated with God? No. Is it wrong to say you will go to hell if you don't agree with me? Yes.
Please, we are all adults....geesh! It's a good thing I'm not a moderator or I'd be deleting posts just to get this over with. (Yes, this one would be deleted too, because it is NOT about canzer or support.) Time for everyone to get over themselves and start to think of everyone else. I DON'T CARE if something offends you! Hit the button on the bottom of the post that says "report as offensive" and SHUT UP!
That's my extra positive post for today. Thanks for letting me vent.

KIMBY YOU ROCK!!
peace, emily
I don't care to comment on HOW or WHERE people need to comment, or what is to be said, or shouldn't be said, we all aren't going to agree on everything, but I like to read what different customs, religions, practices all that as well, I don't get into anything, because if I don't agree with it, or am offended, I just skip it, I don't care....I know how to ignore. So, I'm with you there as well Kimby!
Hugssss!

I haven't posted anything
You are so right Kimby. I haven't posted anything about this topic as I wanted to just stay out of it but I do have to say that I think some on this board have just gotten pretty ridiculous. It's almost as if some post particular comments to "rile" things up as opposed to being representative of what they truly believe.
Of all the boards this has been my favorite as I have found it the most uplifting and friendliet but some people are getting out of hand now.0 -

I agree with the idea that all points of view are interesting , and i do like to read about them also. I do not always agree with all of them, but I can read them. If I find them offensive I try to just skip over and get past it. I am a Christian and i will not let anyone put me down for that or run me off, but I also don't want to force it on you if it is not your cup of tea, So just please tolerate me if I mention anything having to do with my faith or church family. Please have a little patience and know that I just want to get cancer info and share a little humor when possible.

Vent Away
Kimby - you're always so calm and positive - you've earned a good venting post!
I find other people's perspectives interesting too. When a person knows their religion well enough to explain their belief's in a calm and logical manner, it's all pretty interesting - whether you believe it yourself or not. I wish there were people of other faith's - not just Christians (nothing against Christians!), who would share how their belief system deals with things like getting a cancer diagnosis. Buddhist, Hindu, etc. It would be interesting. But I know - this is not a religion forum and I'm not suggesting it should be. Maybe next time I have insommnia I'll do some Googling to see what I can come across.0 -

I've always felt lucky to have you on this site. I'm sorry you're here for the reasons you are like the rest of us, but none the less, I admire you and find your posts interesting and informative. Except this one, it's just so-so. Yeah, I joke a lot. That's how I cope. It would amuse me if that offended people. Maybe I'd get my point across? Seriously, even this one is good.
I can't stand it either but I have not been silent. When there are things going on that are disruptive to many people and no one speaks out, bad things can happen. History has taught us that. It's nice to get different points of view too, there are many ways to kill cancer. I don't think arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin is helping kill cancer. It just seems that killing cancer has been forgotten on this site.
Has continuing to go on and on about this subject brought out everyone's best sides? I think not. I know I have not shown my best side. Lets all face it, as long as there are 2 people or more on earth, there will be disagreement.
I think if we all us our heads and some common sense and courtesy, we can deal with why we are all here (and I don't mean it like "Why am I here???") Those moderators are going to get a workout from all the "report as offensive" reports.0 -

Thank you for your kind words. I love your posts and support your right to disagree and even to be disruptive. I love controversy, it keeps me interested. I just don't like it when it gets disrespectful or when it goes on for months. I (usually) get your sense of humor and enjoy it. I think you know that I like to have fun and pick on others, too. I wouldn't be around long if I couldn't have fun and laugh.
I won't do anything that isn't fun, especially canzer! This crap could get depressing, after all. So go forth and have FUN!
I say, let's keep those moderators busy! What else are they doing?

Thanks, guys
I posted this to release some steam and then left for chemo. I didn't get home until 9pm - don't even ask - and figured I'd really get slammed for this post. Thank you for letting me vent and for understanding what I was ranting about. You guys are the absolute BEST!
