Dearest Cat...
So GLAD you're OK out there! Saw some bits about last night's quakes and aftershocks on the national news programs early this morning. And, of course, thought of my California sisters! Whew, am relieved it wasn't worse for ALL of you!
Kind regards, Susan0 -

I have been through tornados as I lived quite a few years in the Midwest. You learn what to do just like you know what to do during a earthquake.
I lived most of my life in the midwest and remember the "tornado drills" we did in grade school. We would practice getting underneath our desks and covering our heads with our arms...0 -

Kidding, but you do feel like the earth is moving under you, and you aren't even doing something fun!!! darn! Thanks for the thoughts, we always seem to have something here don't we? fires, earthquakes, floods etc.

Shake and Bake
I was in Palm Springs, my daughter was in Long Beach, and my sis is in Sacramento~none of us felt it. My daughter was closest to the epicenter, and she was at the Gay Pride parade/festivities in Long Beach. So depending on one's point of view, either where she was CAUSED the earthquake as a sign from above, or, they didn't know it happened because hundreds of thousands of gays and their supporters were out of the closet and on the streets being noisy and silly! Or it was just the plates of the Earth shifting as they always do, and letting off a bit of pressure! I like the 3rd option, myself!
Hugs,Fellow California Girls!
