As I was saying, before being rudely deleted!

Hello my Kindred Spirits~

Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to write responses to your posts and when I hit "submit" have the dreaded "page cannot be found" appear out of nowhere?! It has been happening more and more lately, grrrrrrrrr!

I would never, ever want any of you to think I am ignoring you and your amazing life stories!

Moopy and her quest for shoes, Jeanne and her Relay team, Tasha's jokes, Kats queries about mojitos,Mimi and rads, Farrah Fawcett :-( Babebussie and her kick-a$$ gonna beat this again attitue (YEAH!) new ones with fears and concerns, friends finishing treatment~ the list goes on and on. And I don't ever want any of you to think I am just perusing the boards and not commenting. I am writing, truly I am!

Cross your fingers that this makes it to the boards...

Hugs,
Claudia

    Good morning Chen
I have had that happen and it is very frustrating..One time I wrote a very long post reply to someone and it somehow got deleted. Time had run out and i had to get to work. I wish there was a way to "save" and come back to it. sigh
But we would never think you were ignoring anyone of your sisters. You are true-blue to us. and we love you.
Sometimes in the coming 6 weeks I probably won't be able to post as much..as i will be burning up the road between Terry and Billings for Rads. But that will not mean I have forgotten even one of my sisters here. Of course it could be different and i might be in my motel burning up the computer keys to all of you. I will have to wait and see how it all goes.
My kindred sisters here are always with me..in spirit..as evidenced by "our song" and I love you all.
I also hope this doesn't wipe out before it makes it to the boards haha.
    hugs
    Jackie

This has also happened to me...
... except my computer tells me "ACS server cannot be found" - whatever the heck that means. Sigh... Technology - it's a love/hate thing, isn't it?

We certainly KNOW you're ALWAYS there, ALWAYS WITH US, Kindred Spirit! Whether you're posting regularly, or not.

    Kind regards, 12/25

    GRRRRR
Never in a million years did I think you were shunning us! It has happened to me as well and nearly driven me to maddness. Now if I am posting a long response I copy it half way so I don't lose it all. Hope you weekend was a grand as you are!

    Vexing Computer Issues
Hi, everyone. I have also experienced server issues with the site. But, I may be able to help with the "page cannot be displayed" message. It is usually due to issues with the browser you are using. Clearing the cache will help.

For IE, click on Tools, the Internet Options. The next screen should give you the option to Delete All Offline Content, or Delete All Temporary Internet Files (don't use IE so not quite sure which). Click OK and give it a a minute. With Firefox, click on Tools-Clear Private Data. You will see a list of items to clear. Be sure not to select Cookies unless you want to delete saved User IDs, etc. Instead, select Cache. I also delete my browsing history regularly.

Sorry, I don't have Safari or other browsers, so not able to help there. You can google, though.

If none of this works, try using a different browser. You can download Firefox at www.firefox.com. Oh, and check the date and time on your computer as errors there can cause any number of issues. Finally, try entering the website address in the address bar rather than using a Bookmark or Favorite.

    Hope these ideas help.

    Egads! Dear Moopy!
I'm so darned impressed by your post, dear! Sweet as can be AND a technological wizard! WOW!

Yeah, I use Safari - inherent to my Apple iMacG5 computer. When the thing gets "quirky" (how 'bout THAT for techno lingo!) - I "reset"...

Which is probably similar to what you're actually describing.

    Again, I'm truly impressed!

    Kind regards, Susan

    Ah Ha!
That's probably why I haven't experienced it, my husband is always cleaning out the files and cookies. Thank you.
