Great news!
I'm home from my surgery, and everything went great! My cyst turned out to be just that. Apparantly my original surgeon (not a gyno onc.)missed a piece of my ovary when he removed the cancer. My body decided that it didn't like that piece and sealed it off in a cyst. My new surgeon (who is a gyno onc - thanks to my onc. referring me to her) took out the cyst, some scar tissue, and a few lymph nodes, and everything checked out fine so far. She did a few other biopsies too, but those results take awhile to get back. However, she feels that everything should be clear, and all cancer is gone! I can't say enough wonderful things about the surgeons and staff that I had at the U of MN. They were all fantastic.
Bonnie and her husband stopped to see me too! We now share the same group of doctors, and she had an appointment at the clinic while I was in the hospital. Her picture doesn't do her smile justice! It was wonderful getting to meet her in person. She doesn't know it (until she reads this post ), but the staff talked about her after she left, and they thing she's a fantastic, inspiring person too! Thanks again for stopping Bonnie!
Take care everyone, and have a wonderful weekend!

Dear Colleen, it was so wonderful to meet you and get a live hug ~ and such wonderful news. Randy really enjoyed meeting your hubby too.
You really need to post a picture for you have a such a bright and beautiful smile. I can see God's light shining from you out to others. :-)
Keep sharing your story as it really tells women how important it is to have gyn/onc surgeon do our surgery. Someone else may not have the same blessing and what is left behind could be cancerous.
Pray for a speedy recovery ~ Hugs ♥ Prayers Bonnie0 -

I searched my computer, but couldn't find one picture of only me that I could post! This one is from the summer of 2007 when my youngest had his senior pictures taken. My hair is a little different now. Quite a bit shorter and lighter after chemo!0 -

I'm doing pretty well. I'm a little sore today, I overdid it and went shopping a little the last two days. I should have known better, but it felt good to get out of the house! Today my biggest plan is to spend it on the couch. I'm also glad you didn't bring your camera to the hospital! I'm pretty camera shy - probably why I don't have any good pictures of myself:-). And you're right, I'm very relieved and thankful for how things turned out. I was very scared going in, but trying to keep my husband from being too worried, and knowing that I had so many people praying for me helped me hold things together. Thanks for being there! (((((hugs))))) back
