Hi, just a newbie on the board. Have Colon cancer III, have had surgery and am on chemo now. I belong to one board..The colon club... which I go to every day. Found this one while looking around and decided to sign up. Hello to all and God bless, Karen

    Welcome to the board here! always love meeting new folks, and have posted a couple times on the Colon Club board, is nice to meet you! I am Stage 4 with a tumor to a liver, I been looking at both boards each day when I can. Please post away!

    Sorry to hear you are in a similar boat as the rest of us, but we have a pretty good crew. You will get lots of support and quite a few different views on various topics. Sometimes we even talk about cancer! Seriously, this is the best site that I have found and people generally try to help and support each other. You most likely will get varied views and opinions which is great, you don't want cookie cutter answers to questions (or at least, I don't want cookie cutter answers)

    Hi Karen,
    Welcome to the board. I ditto what everyone has said. This group has been fantastic for my husband and me. People are always willing to share the stories and help when they can.

    So glad you found us. This board was my #1 sustenance through the colon cancer journey, and I still linger long after NED arrived. Please keep coming--everyone has comfort, advice, encouragement and wicked humor to offer.

    Welcome, I would have to add my comments that this board has helped
    me through some tough times of surgery and chemo over the last months;
    I could not have made it without them, it helps to know there are
    others out there fighting the same battles and trying to keep their
    sanity and keep the boat upright in some turbulent waters.

    Sorry we had to meet here, but glad you found us. We are a typical family, supportive, loving, argumentative, silly, you name it. But mostly we are supportive. Ask anything here, nothing is taboo.

    I'm a newbie too..
    I only found this site today. When I first found out I had cancer, I was already a stage 3 because it spread from my rectal tumor to a lymph node in my pelvic area. I finished my chemo and radiation last June. But last week after a biopsy I found out my rectal cancer has returned. So, now I am awaiting surgery. I have been a nervous wreck and was looking for a place where I could meet some people who I had something in common with, and now here I am.
