My Chemo Dr. just told me I do not have to have the 2ND round of chemo every thing is clean
he said,"the first round of radiation & chemo killed all the cancer cells and shrunk the tumor real
small but he still had to remove the rectum and anus.I am still on the wound vac maybe another
2 or 3 weeks when my wound heals I will have my port removed.I feel so happy.

    When your doctor uses the term NED, you should feel happy indeed.

    NED means "No Evidence of Disease."

    Qwe, Good for you!
    I did have to do 'mop-up' chemo, but after my surgery they decided to do only 4 rounds, instead of the 6-12 that I was prepared for. I am almost through - Round 3 starts next Monday.
