Don,
Hang in there, all will work itself out! I had surgery prior to chemo and radiation as they did not know how big the tumor was and am hanging in there. I was supposed to have last treatment of chemo today, but got pushed to next week due to low white blood cell counts. I wish you the best!

Don - hows it going?
Don, just wondering how you are doing and if you have had surgery and are recovering. Know its been a long hard journey and recovery will take a long time - the MDs told my husband several months after surgery before he felt more like his old self. I don't know how its going for you but be patient with your body its been through tremendous change and challenges physically as well as emotionally. Give us an update sometime and remember you are in the thoughts and prayers of many of us here at the EC site.

Don- the IvorLewis procedure (esophagectomy) had a great thoracic MD up here in New England; after 1 year things are finally getting back to "normal" (a new normal for us); Steve did pretty well through the chemo/and rt and I think the team/RNs were our life line prior to surgery. They still factor alot in our follow up visits (Steve even still has the port they put in for the chemo and has found it tremendously useful still). Hope RT is going well - keep the weight on and I hope you get a good break between RT and surgery to recover. Still thinking about you!
