My Mommy is gone...

I'm so so shocked, sad, tired and frustrated. My Mommy passed away this Monday morning after almost 3 months of the bowel obstruction which made her spend 18 days on the hospital and the rest at home. She ended with a multiple organ failure. Thank the Lord I was with her almost all Sunday and until her last breath at 11:15 am on Monday. It was a devastating and very very sad sight to see...but I begged the Lord that He let me be with her at her very last. She did suffer a lot, although said not to have pain.. just so very tired she could not pick herself up. She passed away her hand in mine.. before that moment I was praying to her, telling her many thanks for everything and telling her how much I love her. And after..when apparently she was not so contious I think she could still hear me because I wiped a tear of her left eye. I can barely belive she is gone.. although is some way I know she went straight to God without doubt, and is were there is no pain, no suffering,no tears, just joy. Please pray for her soul.
Liz

    Hugs ♥ Prayers
    Dearest Liz,

My deepest sympathies for the loss of your mom. It has been a long road and you have been such a wonderful loving supportive daughter. To hold her hand as she leaves was such a gift for you both, she has her angel wings now. Remember when one lives in the hearts of those left behind is not to die ~ she will always be with you. I am sure there is still a huge celebration going on of those who have left before her, and now no more pain.

    Peace Prayers and Blessings

    Love Bonnie

    ((((Liz)))). My deepest sympathies, honey.
Your current grief honors your mother and what she meant to you; just as your eventual return to a joyful life honors what she would want for you. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Love never dies. Let your mother's everlasting love wrap you in comfort as you work through your grief. ((((Liz))))

    My Tears
My tears are with yours. My very heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom. You both fought a great fight for so long. Yes, she is now without the pain she had here on this earth. This has been a very long road for you. The days ahead will be some of the hardest you will have because it is such a great loss for you. Please lean on the people who offer to be there for you. And please return here if you feel that you need to. We are here for you also.

I have followed your story for so long and feel so connected to it because I took care of my Mom and so much between your story and mine was the same. If you ever, ever need to share your grief, I would be honored to listen. You can always PM me. The love between your Mom and you is something to cherish. May peace fill your heart and your spirit, gentle hugs, Cindy

    SO SORRY
My sincere condolences to you and your family, Liz. Thank you for sharing your Mom's journey with us all these months. I too was with my mother when she passed away. Although it was the most difficult thing I have ever done, I consider it a blessing to have been with her as she went Home, just as she was with me when I came into this world. I also believe that she could hear me during the last hours.

May you find comfort that your Mom is with her Father in Heaven. And may your hurting heart be healed in time, and the pain replaced with fond memories of your mother and her courageous fight.

    Hugs and Prayers,
    Monika

    Your mom
Liz - I just signed on and saw your name appear first and now I sit here with tears streaming down my face because I can feel your pain through your words. You've talked so lovingly about your mom for as long as I've been on the support site - what a wonderful gift you had to have that relationship. I am sure you brought her much joy.

The scene from Steele Magnolia's popped in to my head as I read about you holding her hand as she left - when M'Lynn tells her friends what an honor it was to be there with Shelby when she came in to this world and then again when she left it. Your mommy was with you from day one and you were able to be there for her when it was her time to go.

Another warrior has received her wings.

My deepest sympathies. Many hugs for you and your family.

I know how you must feel
I am so sorry Liz, while we are all differant, I know what you are going through - have strenght from friends and family during this time. Lost my wife in February after a 15 month battle.

Do and feel what you need to and dont let anybody tell you different, it is your time.

    Best wishes Jeremy

    My Deepest Sympathy
    Dear Liz,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I, too, lost my mom this year. She had been in care for almost two years, and thankfully, did not suffer much during that time.

It's painful to lose a parent, and my heart goes out to you. She is in a better place now.
