I swear ... I'm trying to tell myself it is my chemo brain ... but in spite of all of you helpful folks ... I still cannot figure out how to get a picture up instead of the boring "tgf." I can get to where I edit my home page and click on picture ...but then it gives me something I'm supposed to enter a webpage/website address ... or find something in a "picture" file I might have. Well ... I guess I'm just want to do a simple cut-and-paste ... but I guess it's not that easy ... is it?

Does everything have to be saved as jpg?

So sorry for all of these "non-cancer" questions ... but I'm feeling quite inferior to the rest of you who have figured out how this whole technical thing works. :-)

    You'll have to wait for either Mr. Professor (a/k/a Aortus - who, I believe, started this madness) and/or RE, the computer brainiacs of the group!

    I admire your tenacity, though, for not giving up. I - and my own chemo brain - certainly would have, by now!

    First, click at the top of the page where it says to update your about me page. Once there, click on edit, then click on picture. Then you see where it says upload picture? Then, you have to browse to find the picture that you want to use. Like I said, I save pictures in a file/folder on my computer called "my pictures". Then, after you have the address of the picture in there...click sumbit and you should have it. Where is the picture that you want to put on there? Is it in a file that you have on your computer? Like a picture file or family pics or something???

    p.s. when i browse in My Pictures file..I click on the particular picture that I want and it puts it in the browsing line..like it would say...funny kitty or something like that. then, i just click on submit. does this make sense? if not..let me know

    Teena go to the CSN home
    Teena go to the CSN home page and click on "ABOUT MY PAGE" (THE EDIT TAB). Now your page should come up in the edit mode. Click on the "PICTURE" tab which should be the second tab.

    Click the browse button and find the section of the computer where you store your photo's. Find a photo you want to post and double click on it then click submit. THis should allow you to post a photo of your choosing.

    Hope this helps!

    I'm home from work now ... and I swear if I have to stay up all night I'm going to figure this out!!! I may be 65 years old ... but by gosh I'm not going to let you young whipper-snappers show me up. After all ... I work at a computer ALL day at work ... so I should be able to figure this out ... right?

    I'm sure if I ever do figure it out ... there's no way I can come up with anything as all the cute kittens. Love 'em

    And YES (!!!) I am determined. So ... if you don't hear from me for a week or two ... you'll know I'm still working trying to get this blankity-blank project taken care of ... :-)

    Teena, What I did was went to my pictures on my computer picked the one I wanted put it by itself in a folder. Copied it and then went to my profile, edit pictures and then pasted it into the line and then it came up.

    I just got here about 2 weeks ago. No intention of changing my photo.

    Like for you, all of these changes have caused me to "double look" at the poster's I.D.!

    It's been fun (though somewhat confusing!)!

    ... due to frickin' "chemo brain"!!! HA HA! Totally agree, all of the recent new photos/videos have been entertaining. And this bunch can always use as many smiles & laughs as can possibly be shared.
