Meningioma
Dear Judy,
I am a head and neck survivor. A post-treatment MRI revealed a base of skull meningioma. Nearly all of them are benign. They are often described as indolent. The majority of people who have a meningioma don't know it; they go through life without ill effects. However, the tumor can do damage to your hearing so they are worth keeping a eye on. If you do require treatment you may wish to consider the cyberknife. Like you, I've seen enough of the "white coats" to last me forever. I wish you well. Rich0 -

Rich, thank you for your response. This meningioma is just above my right ear, and is protruding into the brain, causing some swelling. I had an EEG last Friday, and they will call the results soon. Hopefully, this is something that won't have to be acted upon, but we will see. It is nice to hear from someone who knows what I am talking about....I will inquire about the cyberknife technique when I see the neurologist next. As far as seeing enough of the "white coats", I have had about enough of that....The b/c treatment has been going on for over a year, and then this....thanks for your post.
