Nothing to do with illness, something just amazing.

A 47 year old homely looking woman got an opportunity to sing on Britains got Talent. She sang, I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserable. The crowd was laughing and making fun of her before she sang and everyone seemed to think she was a loser...until she started to sing. She even melted Simons heart. If you want to see/hear something amazing, someone over coming the odds...go to YOU TUBE and look up the name Susan Boyle. I think this will make your day.

I looked up the lyrics and the song is quite sad.
I was quite touched, too! Babs, you are SO right! My husband has a great voice but he's also handsome. You'd expect him to sing well. :oD0 -

and have absolutely no talent or ability in any area. I had all kinds of music lessons when I was a kid...didn't work out so Mom put me in ballet and taps lessons...again did not work out. Art classes in high school, but nothing amazing. It is a gift to be an artist.0 -
Awesome
All I can say is she is totally awesome. It's nice to see Simon drop his jaw in amazement. Shows the human side of him Kim0 -
Me Too
You beat me to it, jenben. I was going to post something about Susan
Boyle too.......she is absolutely amazing.....have never heard such
golden tones from someone's voice....they are talking about making her
over....I don't know.....if she wants to I think she could look a little
more attractive but I think that should be up to her. It might make
her feel better about herself and she may never have had the opportunity
to try to change some things about her appearance. Anyway, the voice is
the focus.

Susan admits she had a mild form of brain damage at birth and was bullied most of her life. She's never been on a date or been kissed and lives alone with her cat. Such a sweet spirit.0
