I saw the most beautifultgf said:I wish!
Just to read your posts about how you will look in a bikini makes me smile. You young things! If this old granny put on a bikini ... anyone who saw e would be having nightmares for the rest of their lives. LOL
I think this summer's look will be a big old flowered moomoo ... a giant straw hat ... and a ton of sunscreen! My grandsons will be so proud of their "beautiful" Nana.
hugs.

I saw the most beautiful bikini in a store. Just broke my heart that I couldn't wear those things anymore. Should have had more fun when I could. Let that be a lesson to all you young beauties. Wear it, flaunt it and have a gas!0 -

....I saw a 70 something lady in a bikini at the beach. Her big bellied honey in, yep...a speedo. I thought they were both so brave--as I stood there in my one piece. Now, mind you-she was wrinkled from head to toe. But, no one seemed to matter about it all. So, perhaps I can wear a 2 piece at the beach-despite the fact that I have a 10 inch scar down my back. No, I really don't want to sun the scar. The one piece wins! And so does my peace of mind (or vanity).0 -
Wear that bikinimimivac said:Worried
You're right, Moopy, I will only try to worry about the superficial stuff. Like now I am worried about how I will look in my bikini. Not that anyone will really see or care (well, except Simon of course, but he seems unworried about such things). Didn't I preach in an earlier discussion that we should flaunt what we have left with pride? I am now being put to the test...
Mimi
Hey gal whats you got to worry about. You sure look good in that sexy little dress you have on. I agree with the others- flaunt it!
Jadie
P.S. I quit going to the beach when they outlawed whaleing.0 -

Ha ha. I strive for normalMoopy23 said:Superficial
Ah, so you are accusing me of superficiality. Actually, worrying about how you look in a bikini is........normal!
So there you go. Glad I could help you with that normal stuff.
That is my goal for now, so you have helped me, of course. Who knew we could be normal after all this?0 -
I'm jealous
Not really--happy for you. I had to cancel a trip to Puerta Vallarta to have my chemo--boy, was I bummed. My husband hates to travel and he had even agreed to take this trip without a battle, so that added insult to injury. However, he promised that when this whole nightmare was over, we would schedule another trip so I'm holding him to it! Don't know if it will be Puerta Vallarta, but any place with a beach will do. Probably next winter, since we are farmers and our busy season is just beginning.
Hope you are having a wonderful time.0 -

Hope you got your bikini packed Miss Mimi. Jadie is right--you look great in that sexy little dress, and you will look great in your Puerto Rico bikini.
Jadie, LOL. Your outlawing whales comment is hilarious. Thanks for the laugh. I think Green-Eyed Girl is Lucky Girl--Hawaii more than once? I would love to visit there someday. And, Jakeca, don' give up on that beach vacation. Maybe talk of bikinis will encourage your hubby to go along.
BTW, Mimi, the new photo is wonderful. It's good to see your sweet, smiling face, and your hubby's, too. Wishing both of you lots of fun and rest and joy.0 -

There is an old movie with Robert Young called "The Enchanted Cottage". It's about beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I added after some thought: Or it's about how love is blind. There is a blind man in the movie though.
Don't mind me, I'm just talking to myself again.0 -

I have two bikinis packed, in fact. I am really looking forward to this. I think all of you wonderful ladies should put on whatever you want and spend some time this summer in a relaxing place, whether that is Hawaii or your back porch. We all need some down time after what we have been through. And I'm certain that Jadie and everyone else here is beautiful, inside and out.
I am a compulsive list maker and planner, so I am planning every restaurant to go to, including what items I will order. I know, just go and relax, right? As I look out onto the Caribbean Sea, I will think of all of you standing beside me and how you encouraged me throughout this journey. Love you all,
Mimi0 -
Have a lovely time!
Good for you! You GO, girl!
Enjoy your vacation, well-deserved.
Kind regards, Susan0
