Those are my brothers in the picture with me at my wedding. I am so looking forward to finishing up these last 2 treatments, so I can grow some hair back to go with the smile. LOL. I am so happy for you that you are in remission. I plan on joining the dance very very soon. Follow up CT scan is scheduled for the 22nd. I will share the results when I get them.0 -

I will be waiting for those special letters from you too. You look great even without hair, your smile just takes over. lol
I got released to go back to work, my doc didn't want to do it but the insurance company is being a pain so I said I will be fine, I am in no mood to fight the insurance company now.
I will lose my job at the end of June anyway so what the heck time to get back to normal. I think I was normal before chemo. lol
Have a great day,

Thank you. I am glad that you are feeling better, but wish you didn't have to go back to work. I think after all of this, we all deserve a nice long quiet vacation.
I have actually applied for disability, but haven't heard a decision yet. I work in a federal prison and it is considered a law enforcement position. I just don't feel entirely comfortable going back to that kind of work, so I have applied for disability. If that is approved, I will probably try to work a prn or part time job. My husband wants me to stay home, but I think a need to work at least some. He's pretty protective!
Keep us posted how you are doing. Will do the same.
Hugs,

Hey Sharon, what is normal? Hahahaha. Getting back to work is okay, been back for a while, even through chemo but I still have my bad days with achy muscles and bones. Yesterday I wished I'd had a vat of Ben Gay and someone would just dip me in it. The massage I had on Friday really helped the pain I was having in my hip area, so I'm going to go back once a month. It felt great and she found some really tight muscles.
Deanna your protective husband, "Once a Marine always a Marine"! God Bless him. I would like to do the part-time thing too, staying home all day is a little depressing and I'm tired of working full time!
Take care and you all are in my prayers.
MIND, BODY AND SOUL!

You are so funny, I will only have to work till the end of June so it won't be to bad then I have to go on unemployment with the rest of Oregon. lol We are in the top 3 for this and it's going to be worse.
How's the hair coming along, I have fuzz now and my eye lashes and eyebrows are starting in.
Did your head feel numb at all? Some days it just feels weird when I touch it.
I am a former WM. Like you said "once a Marine always a Marine" I even married one too.
Marge you have a great day and I will let you know if I stayed awake on my first day back.

Deanna, my husband is the same way and I can just see your husband wanting a piece of someone for the way they treated you. I am so proud of him.

I actually have to comb my hair in the morning now; how exciting is that! It's starting to get to the point where it's sticking up and I'm gonna have to gel it. My daughter-in-law laughs at me because I am always running my fingers through my hair and rubbing my head. Yes, my head was numb for a while but it's fine now; never lost all my eyelashes and I'm having a fun time keeping up with plucking my eyebrows. All my hair is very fine and soft.
God Bless you and your husband for serving our country. I have two sons that served, one is honorably discharged from the Army and one that is still in the Army (a lifer). My father-in-law was a Marine! I belong to a Military Moms support group and do a lot of volunteering for the Marines Wounded Warriors Program here in Charlotte. We have a blast...
I feel blessed I still have a job. I know many of friends that I used to work with lost their jobs. The whole office closed (again). NC is getting hit really hard too.
Rest your body, take lots of naps and enjoy the warmth of the sun on your face!

Who would think that combing your hair in the morning would be a highlight. I never shaved my hair, so I still have some longer pieces on the top of my head and in the back there is some hair. When I take my hat off the hair is sticking up all over. My husband says I look like Einstein's mother with my hair sticking up. I miss my eyelashes more than I miss my hair. I am not very good at using the eyeliner like I learned in the Look Good, Feel Good Program. It is hard for me to see where I am putting it without my glasses. Maybe I will get better with practice. I still have about half of my eyebrows left so I can fill in with my eyebrow pencil.
Sorry you are still so achy. I hope that gets better for you. You have such a great attitude. I love reading your encouraging posts. HUGS to you.0 -

Hope everything is going okay since you went back to work. June will be here before you know it. At least you will be free to go see that Grandbaby. I am glad you are getting fuzz on your head and your eyelashes are coming back.
Thanks to your and your husband for serving our country. Hope you are doing well. HUGS to you.0
