Puerto Rico, here come Mimi and Simon!
What a great way to celebrate, and what a destination--I especially like the secluded and coast parts! I am so happy for you! You and Simon have a glorious time. Take some photos for us if you have time. We will be looking forward to hearing the highlights.0 -

Thanks for the support,
Thanks for the support, guys. I just wanted to share my excitement with you wonderful women. I know life after treatment can be tough, and I don't expect things to be all sunshine and roses from now on, but I am enjoying the small feeling of normalcy that is gradually growing in me. I still worry constantly, but sometimes I think it may be OK (with your support, of course).

Well, maybe not all roses and sunshine all the time, but I have faith that you will find plenty of both in a long life ahead, Mimi.
I realize that life after treatment has its own challenges and difficulties. Good to know. But we will all be there for each other. In the meantime, a trip to Puerto Rico sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate how far you've come--and enjoy plenty of sun, sea, and flowers. If you are worrying, I hope it is just about packing for the trip! Or whether you have all the right clothes already, or do you really need to shop first, or...0 -

You're right, Moopy, I will only try to worry about the superficial stuff. Like now I am worried about how I will look in my bikini. Not that anyone will really see or care (well, except Simon of course, but he seems unworried about such things). Didn't I preach in an earlier discussion that we should flaunt what we have left with pride? I am now being put to the test...

Ah, so you are accusing me of superficiality. Actually, worrying about how you look in a bikini is........normal!
So there you go. Glad I could help you with that normal stuff.0 -

Just to read your posts about how you will look in a bikini makes me smile. You young things! If this old granny put on a bikini ... anyone who saw e would be having nightmares for the rest of their lives. LOL
I think this summer's look will be a big old flowered moomoo ... a giant straw hat ... and a ton of sunscreen! My grandsons will be so proud of their "beautiful" Nana.
hugs.
