OK, so this email isn't about cancer exactly, but it is a neat way to easily peel potatoes without a peeler and that means you'll have more time to spend with friends and family and less in the kitchen.

If you make potato salad, you are going to want to watch this one.

Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island is in the video. Peeling the cooked potato was the least desirable part in making a potato salad. Check this out! Peeling a cooked potato couldn't be easier! Enjoy.

You'll find the brief video on YouTube - Dawn Wells Potato Peeling Video www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4W0qIPJmoo

    Ahhh... Mary Ann...
All the other kids were crazy about Ginger (except Leonard Stimpultz who was hot for Mrs. Howell. Yeah, I know... I think he's a Congressman now) - Mary Ann was my first true love. Well, after Ellie-Mae Clampitt, that is (I mean, after all, Ellie-Mae was RICH!)

    Sponge Bob, you are funny...
When we were kids we always watched Gilligan's Island...along with Hogan's Heros, Beverly Hillbillies, Combat, 12 O'clock High, Rat Patrol, Roller Derby, and wrestling with Johnny Powers. I haven't thought about any of this til I read your post. It made me smile, thanks.

    wow
You're right, a little off topic, but an amazing trick. And, representing the teenage girl opinion, I would like to say that Dawn is right "the professor is a hunk", at least so he seemed back in the day. (Michael Landon was everyone's true love, though.)
Thanks for the tip and the memories, Judy

I LOVED watching that!:) I was TOTALLY going to be a roller derby chick when i grew up! I've always loved skating, and the idea of dressing in those hot clothes and bashing the crap out of other skaters was a totally great idea!

Leave it to you guys to taken an offtrack topic even farther off
You guys are a hoot. OK, anyone rememer Hoot Gibson? I got an email from a friend who lives in the south and she castigated me about the potato peeling method as being no big deal, that she's been doing the same thing with whole tomatoe for years when she cans them. Says she pours boiling water over the tomatoes for about a minute and then the skin pulls right off.

Sure, as if I would know that...
