CT scan results

Hello to all you wonderful people who have helped me through a rough time. I had endometrial cancer stage 2b grade2, had a radical hysterectomy in 2007 and 26 radiation treatments (external). All was going well until a CT scan caught some nodules in my lungs 1 year later. Mets in my lungs, so now it was time for chemo and I had carbo/taxol. I am finished and hairless but my latest CT scan is good. The doctor told me I am in remission today and I don't need to see him for 3 months. There is hope for all of us and we see results almost every day. I will now look forward to the day I will be in Boston to see my first grandchild born. Whoo-Hoo
Everyone on this board, has been through so many tough roads and still are but the support that is here has helped me so much and I thank you all.

Living with hope,
Sharon

Dancing with NED!! I'm so happy, Sharon, that you had a clean CT-Scan and are in remission! Keep us posted on the return of your hair and the freedom of being out of treatment again! Dance on!

(I have my post-chemo CT-Scan Friday and will be holding my breath until I get my results.)

Linda I hope and pray that you get the same results as I got. I will keep you all updated about the hair and how I am feeling. How are you feeling these days? I love your new posted picture. How long does it take for you to get your results?

Just got back from my CT-scan,...no verified results yet.
I just got back from my CT-scan, and my belly is still churning from the barium. My daughter-in-law is a CT-scan technician at the same hospital attached to the cancer clinic I go to. She's not a doctor, but she has been looking at CT-scans for years and always goes with me for my CT-scans and hangs out with the technician doing my scan and studies the scans on the monitor as they happen and reviews them while I am getting unhooked and dressed. With the Easter weekend upon us, unless my oncologist phones me later, I won't get my official results until my appointment with the radiation oncologist on Monday. But my daughter-in-law said everything looks great; she couldn't see anything and she was really looking hard. So it may not be official, and I won't start the "happy dance" yet, but I think I can relax and enjoy the Easter weekend, almost 100% sure that I am still dancing with NED. And my worries that they wouldn't be able to get a good vein for the CT-contrast injection were apparently unfounded; they were able to get in on the inside of my elbow (crook of my arm) with the 1st try, same place they got the last 2 blood test draws!

Part of my reassurance is that I checked at the clinic and got the results of the CA-125 blood work I had yesterday. My CA-125 is 11 today as my post-chemo/pre-radiation number; down from 12 that it was last week; and steadily down from the 98 I started with on Round 1 of my chemo.

    HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

    I'm Dancing with NED too!!!!!
    Hi All,

Finally had appointment with my new doc. Got great news. He considers me NED now!! He explained rationale for this and the various scan results. I am on surveillance for the next 3 months. Ca125 is 8 - down from 145 before chemo. It's one pleasant feeling.

Thanks to everyone for being there for me and each other. Let's all stay positive and strong!!!

Prayers and joy to all. Mary Ann

Here's hoping you have a great Easter.

    Great news Linda
Wonderful news to have a clear CAT scan and to continue to dance with NED. Great news on the CA 125 also. Hope you have happy easter with your family and new bunny. What a great way to celebrate. Hope you get rested up to start your radiation. I had my first 3 radiation treatments this week. I can not tell any difference yet. So all continues to be well here. I am going to St. Louis to celebrate Easter with family that we have not seen for 5 months.
