4 weeks After Partial Palectomy of soft palate.

I have been dx w/ low grade adenocarcinoma as i posted before ,in my small salivary gland near my last left molar. Lots of new granulated tissues are surrounding the excision hole, i eat and drink without any trouble and also talk clear, i had couple days of sufering after surgery but it was fine after.
I still feel numb beside my inside gum near the incision even that is not sore and all look very good,it just look little innflamed or is the numbness iam not sure ,,,>How long till i can fell sensation there ,,it is unconfortable ,,no pain but,, it boders.
Any one with similar condition?,.

    I had a partial maxilectomy which also included part of the soft palate. The numbness I experience is along the left upper lip. I had two surgeries in December and it was after that the numbness started. It is now April and it is a lot better than it was in the beginning but still a small area where I can feel sensation now but not normal like it should be. I have been told that it take a long time for nerves to heal as opposed to tissue and muscle. So mine isn't perfect but it is better with time. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for your reply ,it really help and give me encourage to wait and be patient.I really don't have pain thnk God !!but ,is the numbness inside the upper gum in the border between the molar and the incision they make to remove the small tumor, is been 4 weeks and 2 days already and acording to my surgeon the hole is fulling very good with the granulated tissue except just a little needed by the last 2 molars were the tumor was and when they removed ,the root was expose.Thats why i am waiting till is all cover to start my rad.I hope the numbness goes away ,,it is so unfortable it seems like swelling ,feels good only at night when iam resting.
    Well, at least i know i have to wait as you said nerves are there ,,the rest around the incision is fine it is just that small area uh?? oh well ,wait ,wait .
