My brain is starting to reconnect just like everyone said it would. I go the 15th for pre-op but in the mean time I have the cleanest fridge in town. Work has been my friend. Ha. I have always had a keen sense of humor and since "The Day" as I now call it, it has become my best friend for what will be a long journey. The kindness I am seeing here makes me know I am in the right place. Thanks to all who posted. As things progess I know I will have tons of questions, at least I now know where to go.

    I'm glad you're feeling better. These are scary times for sure but as you see some of our fair ladies are just finishing up their last chemo and that certainly is cause for celebration just as we will be celebrating your milestones too. I wish I had found this board earlier in my tx. Good luck to you and let us know how you made out.

    So glad you have moved past that shock/frozen feeling and have found yourself, humor, work, and all. That first shock stage was the worst, at least for me, but now you are moving forward. We will be here for you; between us all, you'll get answers to any questions you have, day or night.

    By the way, how close is your town to mine--gotta fridge that could be cleaner!

    I love your attitude. That sense of humor has such a positive effect in helping you along in your journey through this. I am glad your brain is starting to "reconnect". I am starting to wonder if mine ever was connected!!ha ha. but seriously, the shock does wear off and you will see that the work can wait. It does help in the waiting. But after tx begins..you will need rest and to be very kind to yourself. I watch movies, read books i have been longing to read, nap and ask for help when i need it. I work when i can but this isn't my top priority anymore. just taking care of ourselves is the most important thing. Our minds and bodies have been through alot and you will need time to heel..heeler!

    You keep on asking any question night or day. This board and all our sweet and courageous sisters have been my saving grace. I don't know what i would've done without all of you.

    Yes, after the initial shock wears off ( not disappears!) it does become easier to assess what needs to be done, and the best way to do it! And if you have time, my fridge could use a good cleaning! Come on over!! :-)

    You are indeed in the right place...we know more about cancer and its side-affects and treatment plans than any of us ever wanted to. It does make the journey easier knowing others are walking just ahead of us, or even alongside us as we maneuver the maze called Breast Cancer.

    You are doing just great. Congratulations. Please ignore all these Sisters in here who want their fridges clean; I would like my oven, fridge, kitchen, toaster, kettle, dining table, bathroom, back garden, microwave, car, dog, fish tanks, settee, parlour, motor-home, husbands mind, tv screen, garage, Barn, fish pond and computer table cleaned.
