Sisters, I just had my last chemo!!!
I did have to have another red blood booster shot, but other than that, everything went as expected. I think the psychological relief of finishing this phase of treatment will help me through the physical hardships this time.
I want to remind everyone on chemo something that they already know: IT ENDS. Moopy, Jackie -- I hope you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Anyway, just wanted a moment of celebration with the people who would understand the most.
Love,
Mimi

Mimi, my congratulations to you on completing chemo....what a relief that is, and I know you are looking forward to better days. The worst is over, now just spend the next few weeks getting your strength back, and moving to the next phase. I had you in my mind yesterday, along with Jackie and Moopy and everyone else while you all were undergoinging your treatment. Congratulations!

thanx for all your good wishes. Sounds like you helped pull us through with your flashlight and now Mimi will be out there with you with hers.
I asked my chemo Nr. if i was getting Regland (sp.) in my anti-nausea and they said they don't ever give that any more..Thank God. I told them your story. and we prayed that you will find a cure for this. Keep hounding your Dr.'s I hope everthing gets better for you dear.
Love and hugs

Mimi, I am so glad that you've weathered this storm. What kind of shot for red blood cells did you receive? Don't forget to eat your broccoli. Love, Lynn
For your beautiful messages. I don't feel amazing or inspirational: it is you survivors and caregivers who have given me the strength to go on day after day. We're in this fight together and that means so much.
Lynn, twice now my red blood cell count has dropped below acceptable levels. After doing an iron study, they determined that my iron levels were normal. That meant that the drop was due to chemo and not any underlying anemia on my part. Therefore they were able to give me something that would bind to the iron I already had and boost the red levels. Otherwise, I would have needed an iron infusion.

Happy for you....
Mimivac: Congratulations to you....I am really happy for you as you are done with your Chemo. As I said earlier in Jackie's discussion board, I just started with my chemo tx. I just hope you will still be around in this discussion board to help other people going through this process. All three of you (Moopy, Jackie and you) are my inspiration and really take your advise seriously.
Now the next step is Radiation. Pls post your experience on this next step, as I know that I will taking notes and will be learning from your experiences.
Once again, thank you very much and GOD bless you always.
