Hi all, It has been a Looooooooong time since I have been on the board. Part of that is that I have been quite tired and trying too focus on survival. since September. I spent the bulk of Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec in hospital at the Cancer Treatment centers ofamerica. Since then, I have been doing Erbitux every two weeks, spending as much time as possible at school volunteering in my boys classes and basically trying to heal from the surgeries.
Tomorrow I go in foro a CT scan, chemo and see my Oncologist to see if The treatment plan is still working (i could use some prayers and support on that). The biggest reason i have not been posting is since the new format on here, I just can not get the hang of it. It has been frustrating trying to learn how this new forum works and I could really use some help.
I hope you all are well and fighting a good fight. Looking forward to chatting with many of you over the next few months. It is fine to sennd me a private e-mail also.
Oh BTW - SCouty - I need help in booking my room for colon Palooza 7. for any of you that have heard of CP-7 but are unsure of going or not. sighup today. you will come home refreshed, you will be spiritually andemotially charged up and you will feel a connection from deep inside. You MUST go. It will totally change you. and really- YOU DESERVE IT. Give this to yourself.
Much Love

Hi Limey!
I'm new here so took a few minutes to read your bio page! A Dad to 3, eh? God bless you and your family!
I most certainly will add you to my prayer list and will pray for you right now. Thanks for allowing me to be part of the sheep who lift you and your needs to heaven. I love that remark your daughter made. )
God bless and praying now,

Great to hear from you....
Hey Mark: It´s so wonderful to hear from you. You talked about surgeries and Erbitux, what have you been up to? How are you feeling? I so admire the fact that you are volunteering at your kids' school. I have to admit I have yet to manage that, but am hoping to soon. Monica0 -
Hello to a felllow old timer...
Hi Limey,
I too was diagnosed in February of 2004 with Stage IV colon cancer. It had spread to liver, gallbladder and some spots in my lungs. I have been on Erbitux for the past 3 years or so, trying to get rid of the spots in my lungs. I've had 3 operations in the lungs. One major one in Sept 04 for the colon (only a small section so my plumbing was OK, and they removed about 70% of my liver. I've gone through 180 or so chemo treatments and have yet to experience a period of NED. I have a question for you, how are you handling the Erbitux? Do you get the rash and splitting fingers and feet or had that really not been a problem for you? Also, are they giving you the Erbitux along with CPT11? They were for me up until about 2-3 months ago. It is rough stuff with lots of bad side effects so we stopped and I've remained stable.
I wish you the best of luck with your CT scan tomorrow. How long until you get your results back?
As far as the forum goes, it's pretty simple. You can either start a new post or 'thread' like you did for this post, and you can reply to someone else's post. If you want to directly comment on the topic, you reply to the initial post. If you have a comment to one of the other comments, you hit the reply by their comment. I hope that makes some sense. You will get the hang of it I'm sure. Right now you have bigger fish to fry.
You'll be in my thoughts and prayers and I'll be sending positive healing energy to you.
Glad you are around.

great to see you!
It has been a while and it's good to see you back on! I know you've been having a tough go of it, but to see you back on your computer is a good thing! I think you are the first person I've heard that went to Cancer Treatments of America; would love to hear what you have to say about it! Obviously they are doing a good job with you! Prayers for continued healing and that you respond well to the Erbitux. I was diagnosed in Aug of 04 so I guess 04 was a busy year!

Limey!
It's so good to hear from you! What's up with this MN weather huh? Just when I dig out my bike we get socked with an ice storm and then another 12" snowstorm. I hope you're staying warm. When the heck are you gonna come up to the Norwegian Riviera to see me?

glad to "meet" you
Hi Limey,
Glad to "meet" you on this board. I just said a prayer right now for you about your CT scan tomorrow. I just found out earlier today that I'm getting a PET scan done tomorrow, myself. I had a CT a week and a half ago and now they want to do this PET to see if the "stuff" left in my lungs lights up or not- to help determine the "what next". Lots of radiation, is all I can think of, but I guess it's neccessary.
I will pray that the CT scan will show that your treatment plan is working (with things either shrinking or even gone!) I will look forward to hearing your results.
I'll share mine, too, when I know what they are.
Blessings to you and your family- hang tough and God bless!

Checking in...
So wonderful to hear from you, Mark! I come here these days hoping to hear that everything is going well for you long time semi-colons. I have been searching for posts from Vinny and haven't seen any. I hope he is doing alright too.
I am so happy you are going to the CTCOA. I always said that if my cancer progressed, i'd go there, even though i don't know much about it, i know they use a lot of alternative methods that i believe in.
I'm with you as far as not caring so much for this new system CSN has employed. A lot of times i'm unable to reply to some posts for some reason. I do like the fact that we can see pictures of everyone, though, so that's a plus. Has anyone heard from Tinyone?
Keep doing well, Mark, and many hugs!

Glad to read
Hi Limey,
I am happy to see you posting about your journey. I'm glad to read that you are volunteering in your sons classes, they say it means so much when parents or grandparents do this. I did for my grandaughters when they were in elementary school also. I will keep on keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and pray for good scan results. Hugs to you, Audrey.0
