more scan and CEA jitters

Hi all: another nervous critter here waiting for Monday and the CT scan of the liver. Had the blood drawn for CEA's but I don't think they'll be back yet.
History: second liver re-section in Nov. after a lesion was found there. This is my first scan since surgery so it would be nice if I could get a lesion break while I do chemo....oxaly and xeloda ....6 months of that regime, currently on round 3.

Just writing this makes me breathe shallowly...sortof pant....you all know the worry wait fuss dance.

Please send energy to help me get through this weekend.
All best wishes and love to our friends as they get results and go through their scans today

    Hi Mags,

    I've definitely just been there with the worry of waiting for the CT, labs, and all the anticipation, hopes, fears, etc. that are involved- I feel your pain, my dear. You may have read my other thread that I had a CT earlier this week, picked up my report Wed., and I will see my oncologist to discuss it all today. I highly recommend asking (or insisting if they don't want to comply) for the radiologist's report before you see the Dr. I had mixed news- getting my results before my appt allowed me to read and absorb the news privately first, get over any emotionalism, think, and research, and have my questions all ready ahead of time for my appointment.

    I'll be praying for you Mags- ditto to what Diane said. You take care & I know you will be alright.

    Count me in.....much positive vibes coming your way and I hope for a
    good report.....still have a few days before my scan.....think I will
    try to get copy myself before seeing the doc; believe it would give me
    some time to calm down and research, very good idea.....will probably
    mean a short drive back to pick it up the next day or two but it would
    be worth it.......many thoughts and prayers, we are all in this together.

    Hi Mags. Sending you nothing but positive hopes. Can you find something you really enjoy to do this weekend, treat yourself in some way? I try and do something to occupy my mind, even if it is playing solitare on the computer, or go somewhere I enjoy the sights, anything to keep me from sitting in the house dwelling on things. Just went through same scene this Monday, know how it is!

    Hey Mags... you KNOW you are in my thoughts and I am sending positive energy winging out there across the mountains and prairies to surround you with good white light and healing energy. The universe is a huge place that is full of energy zipping around us so we just have to slow down and get our fill of that energy :) And yes , it doesn't hurt to have all our friends and loved ones channeling some of that energy our way :)

    Rats! I'm sorry we have to wait until Monday to get the official results... it would be nice if we could have gotten your results today, BEFORE the weekend ;) But that's ok... all happens as it's meant to happen and if it's great news it will be no less great on Monday :)

    hope all goes well with your scans I know that waiting game, could you call and ask the nurse I got lucky with mine the nurse let me know befor I seen the DR.
    Mine looked good it is shrinking. I hope yours is too. I loved the pics of your cabin

    I was not expecting results
    Went off to hospital at 9 this morning not epecting any results from today's scan. I was in the machine and I looked up .....there was the radiologist who is a friend,!!! Colin how does it look??// Colin said....Maggie your liver is so full of scars and pins and pegs but cancer.....I see none!!!

    I got up and kissed him

    What a great thing to see that the radiologist was a friend of yours and EVEN BETTER- there's no cancer in your liver!!!!! I'm SO glad to hear the great news!!!!
