    Thanks everyone!
What a treat to sign on tonight and find so many supportive posts! I managed to keep myself very busy today. Bridget and I went to the theatre office and it just so happens we are really busy right now. My friend, Jill, and I were working away and the next thing we knew, it was 7pm!! LOL! Ok, so the plan was that we would leave the office around 4:30pm or so... but we both were being very productive ;)

Anywho... tomorrow morning I'll have an easy morning... I may even treat myself to breakfast out. But, knowing me, but the time the morning rolls around, I'll be too lazy to get ready early and get out for breakfast... so I'll probably just have one here and putter around on the computer ;)

I'll be leaving my apartment around 1pm... then spending the afternoon at the hospital (well, first I have to get there and this particular hospital is about an hour away). Once I am through at the hospital, I'm meeting a friend and the two of us are going to do dinner and a movie night... looks like we will be seeing the new Julia Roberts "Duplicity" thriller ;)

Soooo, I won't be getting home until probably around 11pm... but assuming I'm not exhausted, I will check in here no matter how late it is ;)

    Huggggggs,

    Cheryl

    Will do, Beth ;)
Hehehe... will let you know what I think of the movie ;) I do like Julia Roberts although I'm not sure I'm big on thrillers... but hey, I'm always willing to vary my movie watching ;)

Well, this morning I did my last visualization session before getting ready and heading out to New West where the hospital is. I find these sessions where one visualizes healthy tissue and focuses ones' energy to the area (rather than having thoughts and energy scattered in every direction) really tend to help centre oneself and have surprising results.

Obviously I'm going to be interested in what's going on in the lungs, and it has only been 2 months since the last CT scan, but I have been taking the supplement "IP6 & Inosotil". I figure, it can't hurt to take it and if there's even a slight benefit from what it might be able to do, then what the heck? Here's an excerpt from an article, which is why I've been taking it for the last 2 months:

Department of Pathology, University of Maryland School of Medicine, MD 21201, USA. ivucenik@umaryland.edu

Inositol hexaphosphate (IP(6)) is a naturally occurring polyphosphorylated carbohydrate, abundantly present in many plant sources and in certain high-fiber diets, such as cereals and legumes. In addition to being found in plants, IP(6) is contained in almost all mammalian cells, although in much smaller amounts, where it is important in regulating vital cellular functions such as signal transduction, cell proliferation, and differentiation. For a long time IP(6) has been recognized as a natural antioxidant. Recently IP(6) has received much attention for its role in cancer prevention and control of experimental tumor growth, progression, and metastasis. In addition, IP(6) possesses other significant benefits for human health, such as the ability to enhance immune system, prevent pathological calcification and kidney stone formation, lower elevated serum cholesterol, and reduce pathological platelet activity. In this review we show the efficacy and discuss some of the molecular mechanisms that govern the action of this dietary agent. Exogenously administered IP(6) is rapidly taken up into cells and dephosphorylated to lower inositol phosphates, which further affect signal transduction pathways resulting in cell cycle arrest. A striking anticancer action of IP(6) was demonstrated in different experimental models. In addition to reducing cell proliferation, IP(6) also induces differentiation of malignant cells. Enhanced immunity and antioxidant properties also contribute to tumor cell destruction. Preliminary studies in humans show that IP(6) and inositol, the precursor molecule of IP(6), appear to enhance the anticancer effect of conventional chemotherapy, control cancer metastases, and improve quality of life. Because it is abundantly present in regular diet, efficiently absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, and safe, IP(6) + inositol holds great promise in our strategies for cancer prevention and therapy. There is clearly enough evidence to justify the initiation of full-scale clinical trials in humans.

Like I say... the worst case scenerio is that it's helping me with my blood pressure and these days when we have reason to be anxious (I'm actually not anxious at all today, but then I did have a wonderful calming, visualization session which settled all my energies back into their rightful positions) :)

If today I find there is no new growth, then I think it's off to the health store to pick up another supply of this supplement :)

    I'm home!!
Tired... but home :) And so far... happy :)

I have one heck of a bruised right arm... my darn veins just would not cooperate for an IV today for the contrast dye for the CAT scan. The CAT scan techs finally had to call IV Therapy to come take over. Hehehe... that nurse was an ornery old biddie but she did manage to get a needle in and an IV working ;)

The CAT techs then took a CAT scan without and then with contrast dye. And then I was off to meet with the radiologist for the followup visit. It went much better than I had thought... he was NOT full of doom and gloom. He wasn't cheery and bubbling with positive chatter, but for him, I think it was pretty darn positive ;) He said that the site where the ablation took place is doing very well, is healing as expected and there's no sign of infection or problems.

Now, the purpose of this appt. was for a followup for the ablation, so he didn't go over in detail the other nodules. He says they are still there and as far as he knows, there are no new ones... and the ones that are there are still too small to be ablated. As a matter of fact, he said they are too small to light up a PET scan. I asked him about the second largest nodule (second to the one that he had ablated) and if it had grown at all. He said it was still around 7mm and that it was really too small to ablate. I then asked him outright that IF it were to grow bigger or if any of the other smaller ones were to grow ... would he consider ablating them, and he said yes (totally different attitude from when I last met with him and he said he really didn't see where ablation would be a benefit for me). So, something has changed his attitude... not sure what, but what a relief it was!

Next week (Fri) I have an appt. with my onc and she will be able to let me know more where we stand but it sounds like if the nodules have not grown and there is no new growth, then we continue on life in happy land with no need for current treatment :):)

I think I'm going to pick up another 2 month supply of the IP6 and Inositol. I have no idea if it has slowed down the already slow growth or not... but it obviously hasn't hurt so, what the heck :)

Cheryl beez a happy camper tonight... and now I'm going to crawl into bed with a snuggly little schnauzer, a good book and at midnight, the World Figure Skating competition will be re-aired, so let's see if I can stay awake for some of it :)

Hugggggs and many many thanks for the positive energy thoughts!!!
