SPA day.....mmmmmmm!
While we were there, I chatted with a gal who worked there and told her my story of planning the getaway for after treatment. And how it helped me get thru some rough patches to visualize being there...
Turns out, she is in charge of the whole shebang! And, she upgraded my massage to an aromatherapy massage. I saw her later and thanked her, and she said that no thanks were necessary, that she planned on sharing my story with everyone...it made HER day!
So, I am silky smooth, relaxed, and rejunivated...I did something called 'Taking of the waters' where I sat in 100 year old mineral water...lol...

The spa
How do they determine that the water is 100 years old? Sorry, had to ask. The spa sounds awesome - good for you!!!0 -

The water comes from an underground spring that the Native Americans in the area have gathered at for many, many generations. Most of Palm Springs is over some kind of seismic structures...there is a fault, for instance, running north of the city that actually has an oasis, complete with palm trees and fish, out in the middle of desert!
These smart Americans made use of the spring in the city by building a spa (and casino...lol) near enough to this spring to gather it's bounty...it is actually quite a story, and up in the lobby of the attached hotel.

what a nice way to celebrate the ending of treatment and rejuvinate your body and spirit! You made it! This was well-deserved and a fitting beginning to the rest of your new life.

It's so important....mimivac said:wonderful
You really know how to treat yourself right, Kathi. I also plan on a wonderful spa day after treatment. I'm glad you had such a nice day with your daughter.
I was running through life, not noticing the special people around me. After treatment, I realized how much I needed to be with them...especially after my time with my younger daughter was cut so tragically short.

taking in the waters
Kathi...Reggie and I LOVE "taking in the waters"...we do it every time we are in PS~ the Aqua Caliente Tribe has a wonderful Spa, don't they? Reggie bought me an entire day there last year, which included lunch and a haircut~ it was awesome! Reggie is singing with a group of Native Singers, and he performed in Palm Springs a month or so ago~ before we left we did the waters...soooo relaxing, arent they??
Love those mineral springs....lets make plans to meet there soon!

Ummmm, love the spa.
Ummmm, love the spa. Especially the aromatherapy and the hot stones. I am visualizing it now. Well, maybe if Claudia and Reggie ever decide to get married, we can all meet there for a treatment. Hint, hint, Claudia. LOL Hugs, Lili0
