was the most exciting , moving, day of my life. We have 8 active elders at one time in our church and I was #8....We lay hands on new elders as we receive them, it was something I will never forget...I went to the church this morning and had coffee with the pastor and we talked for about 2 hours about eldership. I am really excited to be placed in this position. It is something that I do take very serious and I am looking forward to helping people in the church as well as the community. Thank you for asking.......0 -

I am on the Evangelistic Team trying to increase our congregation with people who believe and not just bodies. I work in our Youth Group help in teaching the youth the right things about living with Christ and through Christ..We have an excellent Youth Program...I am on the visitation committee to visit new people who may want to join . We visit shut ins and hospital patients. Just last night we have decided to have another Carnival for the people in the community (I have asked to head that venture up) and we had 400 last year. I hope to have 6-800 this year. We have a Youth Rally coming up the 14th of this month and we hope to have 2-300 kids at it also...free food and gifts to give away and we have a christian band called "sharc" (Serving Him A Risen Christ) . It will be to try and reach out to the youth in the community to not only come to know and accept Christ but to actually get them to make a commitment to come to church and get involved in events instead of just saying that believe and then letting some of their peers talk them back into the things they know are wrong. It will be great...It starts at 5:30 eating and the band and services will start at 7...This and sing in the choir along with solos and life is simply, absolutely great. I wouldn't have it any other way.......God Bless you and yours.........0 -

Congrats on becoming a deacon! You are such a blessing to this site with your wonderful spirit. It is so refreshing to have a man of faith share openly and give others encouragement and hope.
Your countdown is almost done- I know you are relieved to be near the end of it.
Thanks for being such a positive influence!0 -

You're just a busy, busy man, and I admire you for it. I like to be involved in my church, too. Let me know how the band thing goes. Our youth minister at our church is thinking about trying to form a praise band with the youth.

We did the Beth Moore Bible study recently and it really is a good one. We will be starting a new bible study this Tuesday called The Pursiut of Holiness and I am looking forward to it. I really enjoy reading about your involvement in your church. I thank God for people like you who give of them selves so freely. You are an inspiration to the rest of us. God Bless You

BUZZARD
HEY, CONGRATS, MY FRIEND. Proud of you. However, I can fully understand why HE has chosen you for that position. You've helped so many with your wisdom, knowledge and most of all your caring concerns and encouragemen.
QUESTION: Did you or anyone else have problems with constipation? Hop is having problems...bowels haven't moved since Wednesday and we've tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions -- anyone???????????? I'm afraid he's going to get sick if something doesn't happen soon. Quite worried.
Blessings and hugs,

Congrats Buzzard on being chosen by God and your final treatment! God is AWESOME! Now you can change your profile to reflect this good news!
How did the youth rally go?
Constipation: I noticed a little after each chemo and used Plum Smart. It gave me gas (uncomfortable) but did the trick within 12 hours. Now I'm eating high fiber crackers or raisin bran before the treatment to prevent it.0 -
awesome
Awesome and congratulations

Hi Marygale,
I have constipation during chemo treatment. What works for me is Miralax, twice a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Also drinking prune juice with warm water helps. I usually have constipation for about two days. My first round of chemo was Folfox+Avastn, now I am on Folfiri + Avastin. I have had constipation with both regiments.
