surgery set
When we met, we went over the last two scans and they now believe that the met was there at least 4 months ago. It was very hard to spot as it is masked by a blood vessel (very bright spot). With that feeling, they said lets not wait for another scan based on my history. I'm glad this option exists but I also am not looking forward to the experience...it seems that I sometimes do better when I don't know exactly what to expect and somehow it is not a bad as feared.
To all who offered opinions, thank you.
Chip

Try not to worry and just know that the surgeon and God will be in control. It will be your job to heal, and you have already shown that you do well at that! Glad the surgery is going to be soon!

my thought and prayers are with you as you go through this; it is amazing
what the medical field can do these days compared to years ago and I am
sure you will weather this latest storm and come out ok; hold on to the rope.

Good Luck Chip
At least they are being proactive about getting this taken care of and dealing with it now. The unknown is always a fearful thing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lung surgery
Hey Chip... the fact that they feel surgery is an option, then this is a good thing. If they said that surgery was not an option, then this would be kind of scary. I'm a bit surprised that the said RFA was a possibility but felt it is better to go with the resection. RFA is so much less invasive... but they must have their reasons for feeling the resection is the better option.
You've come through fine with your journey so far... and you will do just fine with this one as well. I highly doubt your surgeon/onc would put you through this if they didn't think you could take it.

You are so strong mentally as well as physically that you will be fine. I understand how it can cause someone to have doubts and be fearful and with good reason but keep your mental strength that you carry moving forward and the rest will follow suit. I admire the way you take care of business. You will be fine, the Lord will watch over you and lead you to health.......God Bless ya bud........and He will........0
