No Chemo

Hi Everyone, No chemo today , last week it was postponed because of a low WHC this week because my CA- 125 went up 11 points and my Onc thinks the Doxil is no longer working. I never got below 34. It was suppose to be my last treatment. They did another CA today. I will get my Ct-scan Wednesday. I was told they might start me on Topotecan.. Anyone ever on this. I’m looking for extra prayers for a clear and healthy CT scan for Wednesday.

    I will being say extra prayers for your clear and healthy CT scan on Wednesday. I love the hat your wearing in your picture ...looks like a sailor cap. CUTE! I changed my picture cause it is no longer snowing and my hair is finally started to grow.....

    Extra prayers for you!!
    Well, we'll all be praying for a clean CT scan. Did you ask about the anti-estrogen? You have been on chemo so long that I hope you get a couple of months off at least. I have not had topotecan yet.

    Hi Terry, I hope todays ca125 surprises you all and has come down. I have been on Topotecan as many women have, so if this is your future you should get a lot comments about it. Extra prayers for lower ca125 and healthy ct scan. Hugs bonnie

    Topotecan
    Could the reason your numbers went up be because of a virus or just because your blood counts are so low. I did Doxil then Topotecan, both did a number on my blood counts. After being in the hospital last year I took a break and I am on Hexalen now. My CA is still climbing but I have finished my 2nd cycle and will get blood work on Mon.

    Thanks everyone for your prayers.I don't know what I would do without you bunch of wonderful women.I know God is on my side.I will post my results Monday after I see my Onc.

    Anti- Estrogen
    Hi Saundra, I see my Gyn/Onc on March 26th, I will ask him about it then.I also hope I can get a break for awhile and build myself up again.

    Hi jan, All I had was 3 UTI in a month and a half and a low WBC after my 5th treatment of Doxil. I asked them if the UTI's where to blame in the raise, they said no. I was told that the Doxil stopped working so I didn't get my 6th treatment. I see my Gyn/Onc in Lehigh Valley on March 26th. I hope to get some answers then.

    Sorry to hear that. Yesterday's chemo for me was postponed because I came down with the flu. Hopefully next Monday is a go...this was supposed to have been my last one!
