RECONSTRUCTION UPDATE FROM RE
I am very sore and I have to remember that I need help to do simple things like get out of a chair or open my bottle of meds. I am surprised not to have a drain as I was told that I would so I will have to ask the nurse about that one. I now have a small speed bump going on which is encouraging. My sister went to the ASC and got me several different sizes of soft breast inserts to put in my bra so that i don't look too lopsided when I am in public. I was going to just use socks but these are much softer and come in different sizes too boot.
Well the meds are making me sleepy and I am in a bit of pain so I am going to close for now. You all have a lovely weekend!

Yay for you, RE! Congrats
Yay for you, RE! Congrats on getting through the surgery. Yes, there is some sensation...(a self help book I read says to call it that instead of the more negative "pain", hee hee). Enjoy your speed bump. Soon you will go in for your weekly fills. There is a little sensation with those too, but not really too bad. I distract myself by making the nurse talk to me during the proceedure, which is only about 3 minutes. What ASC has the little pads? I am going shopping monday at our local post mas. bra store for a bunch of them in different sizes. I can't wear my prosthesis any more. It makes me look like I have a breast from my shoulder to my waist.
Anyway, do get lots of rest. My doc. yelled (sweetly) at me when I tried to bounce back too fast. He said to be very gently with the muscles, etc. for quite a while.
And do look for every happiness you can find...sometimes there are indeed speed bumps on the road to happiness.
