I'm not sure about anyone else but I really enjoy having specific groups. I was curious to see what others thought.

    Specific Groups?
I'm not sure I understand the question... what do you mean by Specific Groups?

    specific groups
If you mean groups for specific types of cancers, I agree. There are issues that are unique to colon cancer that may not apply to breast cancer or stomach cancer. We can trade war stories or give support based on our experiences and many of us have been on similar protocols so we can also give "advice" or at least share our experiences. I'm not sure what you mean by "disbanded" though...

The Colon Cancer Alliance has stated on their website they are going to reduce
the # of their groups. But I don't think ACS is going to do anything like that.
Even if they did, the colon cancer group would still be around. It is the largest
group of all with breast as second. I agree that we provide the best support
there is because we are all going through pretty much the same experiences. I would
feel a great loss if we didn't have our board.

I'm so sorry. I'm also a memeber of mycrcconnections.com and they are the ones who sent me an e-mail that they are doing away with specific groups. I posted on the wrong site. Thank you for the responses and so sorry for the confusion.
