Does anyone know of a treatment for the split fingers caused by Erbitux?
Does anyone know of a treatment for the split fingers caused by Erbitux? It seems to come from the inside out, I've tried everything from Bag Balm to all sorts of hand lotions and nothing seems to help. I've been on Erbitux since it was approved, 3 years ago(?) and this is driving me nuts.
Thanks in advance

Udder Butter or Corn Huskers lotion
Palmer's cocoa butter worked for me; the kind in the tube, not the jar.
Good luck,

Lotion
I have tried many, many lotions and creams. The only one that works for me is Gold Bond Ultimate Healing. Gold Bond makes other types of lotions but this is the one that does the trick. New Skin works to seal the cracks so that they don't hurt so much.

Shea butter would be a good one to try. It is organic and applies pretty thick for a good and lasting coverage.0 -

My husband uses Bag Balm. He slathers it on every night and then puts a pair of socks on his hands - a take off on the white glove treatment. It has worked so well for him. Take care.

Split fingers
Thanks everyone for you input. It seems certain things work on certain people. Has anyone found that it sort of runs in a cycle and they tend to heal themselves after a week or so. Just in time for the next dose. I also get very dry flaking skin on my face, I use a lotion and it helps some what but it always seems to do what it wants to do.0
