My timeline exactly!
Welcome--but I am sorry you had to be here. I too was diagnosed in April, surgery in May, and finished FOLFOX in December. I am feeling more normal everyday, but still have the neuropothy in fingers and toes. I had a Pet at the end of treatment. It sure felt good to have a clear scan. Although it showed issues which a ct scan cleared up.
Good luck and welcome.0 -

Hi, welcome to a very caring group of people who have been there..
My DH was diagnosed with Stage 3 CC in April 07 and finished Chemo Dec 07 so he's one year ahead of you in treatment. He too, has neuropathy and unfortunately it's still with him.
Just recently we've started a very different diet and added some supplements. It's based on the Eat Right for your Blood Type. He's been off of all meat, coffee, sugar, white flour, and supplements are B vitamins, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and liver supplements (he also has a fatty liver).
Congrats on getting through the chemo and hopefully your neuropathy will subside over time. I would suggest taking Alpha Lipoic Acid for starters. I hope you continue to do well.

It's the waiting....
Hi Karen,
I'm sorry you have to take this journey; it is a tough road. I hear you about the neuropathy! If it helps, you may find that it gets worse before it gets better, but it DOES get better. It may not go away altogether, but it should get a lot better. I take gabapentin (neurontin) for it, and it seems to keep it down, if not away. You may want to speak with your doc about it if you haven't already.
As for the scan in May....Ah. Waiting is almost the hardest thing for all of us. Our imaginations take over and for some reason it is usually bad imaginings. Try to visualize a good outcome and stay busy until time for the scan.
I hope you are feeling a lot better since you stopped chemo. After I could eat again, I started eating everything that wasn't nailed down or actually in someone else's mouth:-)
Just remember, you have a family here that's rooting for you all the way!!!
Hugs and prayers,
Kirsten0
