The "buzz" on my new hairstyle
I just finished my appointment with Mr. Joseph, who bought a brand new Remington hair clipper ($14 - what a big spender) just to use on me! Thanks to all of you for your hair stories and your advice and your sisterhood. This would have been a lot more traumatic without y'all!

Hey Moopy, I sure am glad we decided to get the buzz, isn't it wonderful not to have to worry about it anymore. I'm not sure how to clear my browser, I am computer illeterate. Maybe when my daughter gets off of work she can post my naked picture and tell me how to see yours.

Dearest Moopy...you can tell Mr. Joseph he did good!! but he couldn't have really screwed up to bad, with such a beautiful face and a smile that comes from your eyes he couldn't have messed it up. No not even with the doggy clippers.
By the way even your doggie is cute..my doggie "tootsie" looks alot like yours, she had been abandoned and found by a little boy by the river. She was almost starved to death and had a broken leg when i found her little mug shot at the grocery store asking for a home. She has been with me since.. now fat and healthy she is so much fun and likes to take long runs in the badlands of MT. and go fishing with us. What breed is your dog?
Hope you all have a good superbowl sunday! i know i will enjoy the snacks and commercials!

Your new look
Moopy - you are so beautiful! I'm jealous of everyone on this site who look absolutely wonderful with no hair! Me - I looked like Buddha (I'm fat so that's part, actually all of it).
Have to say its been very freeing to not have to fuss with my hair. Its growing back slowly but surely. Right now its going through the "stand up and shout" phase.
My prayers are in your corner as you go through this - in the beginning it seems like it will never end and "poof" you are at the opposite end and going forward to your new life.0 -

Hi Jackie!
I tried to get Yongy into that picture with the Moopster, but he was still pouting because Mr. Joseph isn't just *his* stylist any more.
Anubis (alias Nubi,or the Nubster, or the Nuisance) is a dachshund/beagle mix as best we can tell. His middle name is "Presley" because he definitely ain't nothing but a Hound Dog. He was a stray who followed me around one day last March when I was walking Eefy Jo and Yongy, and he was so funny and friendly that I couldn't resist him. Eefy Jo and I loved him from the start; Moopy learned to love him, and Yongy is starting to tolerate him. Our three pups are a wonderful source of love and comfort to us... and we know Tootsie is for you too!

My heart is full with love and gratitude to each of you. I could not have faced this milestone with calm and confidence without you. Thank you always for supporting me so kindly and generously, through no hair and second treatment and all else.

I love the new pic of you two, it is easy to see how much you love each other. When you have love and support like that you can beat anything. Tootsie says hello..even though i had to chase her down for a pic. with me. Bob finally bribed her with a stick of beef jerkey...I had my new wig on and she senses something unfamiliar about me. She will have to get used to it. (if i can) it is not very comfortable or natural feeling..probably none are.I had to laugh after i took it off and had it on the wig stand tootsie was growling and barking at it!lol
The wig started hurting my head after not to long and am wondering if it is the stubbles still left? What do you think Mr. Joseph? Anyway just seeing your sweet and sincere pic. made me feel better today. It is so good to have such truly caring and loving buddies as you both to cheer up my day!

Jackie, that is a great picture of you and Tootsie... you are two nice looking girls! She looks like an Anubis Hound, to be sure! I'm not sure whether to congratulate you or to express condolences. Probably both!
I bought an electric shaver this afternoon and had a whack at the stubble on Moopy's head. She just now tried one of her wigs on and reports that it does indeed fit and feel better now that most of the stubble is gone. Just in case anyone is interested, Mr. Joseph recommends that the newly bald should be sure to moisturize after each buzz or shave. Mr. Joseph uses only Aveeno products for his human customer.
More seriously, Jackie, thanks to you and to everyone else for your wonderful and crucial support. It literally makes ALL the difference in the world.

I am so glad to hear this treatment has gone better so far. I have been thinking about you and all the other ladies that had there treatments as well. I pray that things are going alright for them too.I know I am repeating what's been said already but that smile of yours is so beautiful. I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you. Hi Jackie: I found that the wig hurt my head also when I wore it. Some say that having the cotton cap under the wig helps. I never tried it and honestly I only wore my wig 3 times. Hope this helps. Hugs, Lili0 -
