Hello, everyone. Thank you all so much for your wealth of information and advice and caring. You have comforted and encouraged and inspired me and Joe these last few weeks. Thank you for being on this journey with me and for sharing yours. I will try to give back as you all have given to me.

    Sisterhood
    Hey,
We will always be there for both of us. I asked my hubby to write to your hubby when he gets a chance. We have been a team for 31 years and this has all be doable. You will see if you go back on the message boards, some ups and downs from me. I must say that I am a stronger woman, there is no doubt to the love my husband as for me, my wealth of family and friends and especially the "sisterhood" here. Be sure to use those phone numbers I gave on an earlier message from me. This is a roller coaster ride but then it gets so much better. There will never be a "stupid" question or feeling because we all have them and feel them but they are soooo real. Take care and we are here. I'm from Georgia and you? Angela

It's good to hear from you
    Hi Lisa,

It's good to hear from you. I know you're going through a tough time in your journey, but I just wanted you to know that in spite of that, you truly are blessed. What a wonderful man you've got there!

    Blessings,
    Chelle

    Welcome, Lisa
I haven't written, but I've read Joe's posts. One thing about the hair...I'm in my 50's and one bright side of chemo was losing my chin hair! All my hair is back and then some! (Including that darn chin hair.) My new hair is very curly. Someone told me it's called "chemo curl." I had chemo in the summer, and I remember my head being cold at night. It was a funny sensation. I had never realized what great insulation a head of hair can be! Best wishes for a smooth time during treatment.

    Welcome Moopy!!
I feel like we have so much in common being we had our surgeries and chemo around the same time. Your hubby has been so good in keeping us informed and searching for information for you. It is nice to have such support. You will also find that the support of all these courageous survivors who have reached out with their hearts to help us through tough times and celebrate with us in the good, are such a blessing. I look forward to your posts, and am keeping you in my prayers.
    Your sister in pink,
    Jackie

    Nice to meet you
    Hi, Lisa--
It's nice to meet you. Your husband has responded to a number of my posts and I have always found his advice useful and compassionate. My wife, Dorth, is about a month behind you in treatment and is scheduled to start chemo on Feb. 5th. So please continue to post (or ask Joe to post) on your progress as we both find it very comforting and helpful. We're so glad that everythings seems to be going well (or as expected) for you.

    Regards, Jim and Dorth

    Welcome
I feel like I know you already. You will add to our fountain of information as well as learn from the others. That's what seems to happen. First, we are here for advice and comfort and then while still receiving advice and comfort we begin to share with others. What a great thing that is. And we gain so much by helping others. Not only do we not feel so alone we have purpose. A journey is always better with a good friend.

Feel like I already know you!
Hi Moopy. Joe has told us so much about you. All good, of course! Sorry that you are here, but you are dearly welcomed. This is a very comforting place to be at what can be a scary and stressful time. I always feel better after I've read or posted here. Our chemos days are the same, so I will be thinking of you on Friday when I go in for TAC #3. Half-way there! You will be, too. Best of luck and hope to hear from you often.

    Hi Moopy
This is such a wealth of support here at this site. Questions answered, and sometimes just venting and feeling like your not alone in the journey. Hugs and prayers for you as you heal. Melanie

    Welcome, Moop!
Welcome "in person", Lisa! It goes without saying that you have found yourself in the grandest of company! Not the Cancer part...ewwwwww, but the common bond and true camaraderie you will find here. Zahalene is a million years post diagnosis( and I mean that in a GOOD WAY, Zah!) and I am almost 6 years out, and yet...we are still here with our Online Family.

It is so wonderful that you have a prolific and supportive life partner in Joe~ and now you have us , too!

    Hugs,
    Claudia

    Welcome
It is good to finally meet you Moopy. This is really a wondeful place to find encouragement and advise. These kind people open their hearts and just embrace us with their love. It is just amazing. I wish I would of known about this site when I was dx almost 7 years ago (Valentines day is my 7 year anniversary) I to am blessed with a wonderful husband who supported me and helped (sometimes dragging) me over this speed bump in our lives. When I was dx we searched for the right team of doctors to save my life. My hubby and I would go to "interview " doc's and if they didn't tell us (more him than me) the right thing, he would say "not that one" and then off we'd go to the next one. He was not going to take anything less than a 100% chance of survival for an answer. Needless to say we finally ended up with the right team on our side. I am still here to see our two children, now teenagers, grow into young beautiful adults and share my life with my soul mate. I could not ask for anything better.

Keep up the fight. We can not let the Enemy win. It will get better and with the wonderful support that you have from your family it will make the road not so bumpy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family....and welcome to the club. Crystal

Yeah, I think I will keep him. He is a great baldness coach. I did tell him though that if he ever strayed I would take our third dog--the beagle/dachsund mix that followed him home one day and has hardly stopped barking and whining since--to the woman's house and tell her that Joe and Nubi are a package deal. I figure she'd be sending them both home quickly!
