let the chemo begin
so then it's 10 at night and I'm wondering should I start over but I felt so sick I thought I'd just bring it up so I went to bed. Went off for the procedure today sure that they would say I wasn't cleaned out enough but they did it and the scan was normal.
I want to thank everybody who thought it would be unusual for the cancer to return to the bowel after two bouts of mets to the liver. Don't know when I will hear from my oncologist but she was the one who insisted on the scan. she is recommending oxalyplatin and xeloda so I hope to get started soon.
Best wishes to all

Sorry the prep went so bad. Yes, the crap just keeps coming (literally!). Will wait to hear when you start chemo!

So glad to hear that your colonoscopy turned out well. I have not had any
upset stomach with the prep but wow! does it ever mess up my elctrolytes and
give me that "deer in the headlights" feeling of wooziness and weakness.0 -
I'm really happy to hear

thanks for all your well wishes
last night i celebrated with a nice glass of white wine and I was thinking
how many groups of people spend more time in the can than we do???? sometimes lying on that old bathroom floor?
also when I woke up in the recovery room yesterday the first words the nurse said.....were...yeeeeh you can start chemo....now that's something to celebrate! Our new reality.
Moondragon I asked the surgeon for any alternative but the phospho was the ONLY choice...funny other people use different things
best Saturday morning wishes to all

ROFL!
As a child, my sister dubbed me the 'head inspector'. On a trip, I was always looking for a bathroom....shades of things to come, I guess....lol!

Ok...
Congratulations on chemo? Yeah, new normal can really suck. I am about to start chemo again, too and am also grateful for the opportunity. So many emotions that we roller coaster through on this weird and incredible journey. I celebrated my 45th birthday yesterday and it was miraculous....as though the Lord was telling me that I deserved a really special day. Now, CT scan tuesday and treatment plan meeting on Thursday. And, so we begin...again and again. sigh. We'll do it together so it isn't so isolating.

ahhhhy Happy happy birthday there kiddo....I am gad you had a good day. it's reallynice to have a little celebration once in a while in this mess, isn't it? You know when I first started looking at this forum I didn't know what to expect but now it's the first thing I do in the morning and the last at night. I live in quite a small place and there is no cancer group, really no place to share. The othere day I met some friends at the drug store and they had been crosscountry skiing.....they said ...oh are you going away this winter....and I said oh no I have do some Chemo....the look on their faces was amazing....they sortof turned and rushed off as if cancer was catching. So you know what KIMBI...we will do this together and we won't be so isolated.
