Yay! Glad to hear your CEA
Yay! Glad to hear your CEA numbers. My CEA has been low, but the time a few weeks back that I took 2 weeks off from chemo, my CEA started going up slightly just in that short time. That made me sad realizing that I have to stay on chemo for the CEA to stay down. I hope that won't always be my case! I'm actually awaiting to hear what my CEA is now, 6 weeks after my last reading and 4 weeks after being back on the chemo again. I should know later today.0 -

I'll be praying you get excellent results.

Wish they would figure out what's going on with your stomach and get you some relief! The CEA numbers are so good, I am truly Jealous!

Yeah, getting the stomach to leave me alone would be fabulous, but at least I'm here to feel the pain, right? Here's praying your CEA numbers will soon be LOW.

CEA
Great news about the CEA but bummer about the stomach pain. I may have things a little mixed up here but am I correct in thinking that you have been NED for some time since you had surgery? In which case, was the check on the CEA to see if it was rising in which case that might indicate something going on in the stomach to cause the stomach pains?

My surgery was only a year ago in November, so I'm still having CEA tests every 3 months. I really think the stomach pain is my old friend IBS, but I'm no doctor. *grins*

Fantastic!!
YAY!!! Congrats on the CEA!!
I have tummy problems too and I have IBS and GERD so if it's not one it's the other.
Tell your tummy that your CEA is cooperating and it better too!

The 3 month timetable is interesting. I guess each oncologist is different. Since I was stage 1, my oncologist recommended that my CEA be checked at my annual physical. He turned me back over to my family doctor after one visit.
