I like that! I think I remember that the most important information is relayed to our doctor during the last minute of the appointment, as he/she is heading out the door! Hopefully the mass will be nothing. I pray for God's strength and comfort.

More testing needed!
If the mass is in the stomach, her docs should do an EGD and CT scan BEFORE surgery to have a look and take biopsies. If it's outside the stomach, I would venture to guess a CT scan would be more effective than an ultrasound.
Is your sister being treated at a major medical center? If not, she should get a second opinion before surgery.

Thanks for the info. She's not being treated at a major medical center. I believe the surgeon may be going to do an endoscopic procedure. Not positive on that. She's just seeing him first to talk about things.
