    cost of medications
I found a website www.astrazeneca-us.com which must make Arimidex. Click on the left where it says 'Help affording your medications'. When I did a search for Arimidex I found it.

I also found www.rxoutreach.com and www.rxassist.org. Hope this helps.

Happy Holiday to you too...I hope your new year is wonderful beyond your expectations!

I second what was already posted~ Astrazeneca, the maker of Arimidex does offer help in obtaining medication if you are having trouble affording it.

Let us know what you find out~ ok?

    Hugs,

    Something isn't right there.
Something isn't right there. If they covered it last month, they should cover it this month. Call the medicaid office. Arimidex is a form of life saving treatment and a pretty common one at that. If it was something totally off the wall, I would understand. But MANY women take Arimidex. And they can't just say when you stop. That's up to a doctor. Start making phone calls and don't let them brush you off. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

    Hi Marcia,

I'm on Arimidex also and my insurance coverage limit was maxed out due to the cost of chemo. There are two options here: 1st, ask your onocologist if he gets any professional samples from the pharmacuetical company - mine did and helped me for a few months; 2nd, each pharmaceutical company has a patient assistance program. This company is Astrazeneca. They can be reached at 1-866-992-9276 or on their website: www.azcsn.net. If you have the printout that the medicaid won't cover it, they should pick it up for you. You may need to get a form filled out for this, but it's worth the effort. I pray it goes well for you!

    Good Evening!
Yes, Deedee, I'm a Spirit-Filled Christian. I believe that God is a good God and he gives us strength and grace to get through the tough times. We can pray for each other and continue to be positive support to others on this journey. You will get through the tough times, don't give up! Your life is valuable even right where you are at. I've found that in the most difficult times, there's always someone who is going through more than me. Keep the faith!

    Take care!

    Susan
