Melanoma

Why do they call it skin cancer when I'm not sure it really is? It's very touchy because I know people who've had it and it's "deeper" than that.

    more than skin cancer
    I have a rare form of mucosal melanoma that I thought was a hemorrhoid; it took 6 weeks for the G.I. doc to take it out, which gave it time to grow and ulcerate. not good! I have had 4 surgeries and 2 kinds of chemo and have many mets. If you have a different form of Melanoma, please get started on treatment; it is a fast-moving cancer and the sooner it is treated, the better your outcome.
