Showing my breasts??? Hmmmm, being as I didn't even KNOW about reconstruction~ no one ever mentioned it to me, neither my GP, nor my surgeon, nor my oncologist, the only ppl who now ever see me sans bra are these self same health-care professionals. And I don't give a hoot what they think about my scarred, sunken breast!!!! My sweetie doesn't make me feel anything but beautiful, but I am uncomfortable with how I look post surgery, so nope~ being as even I don't want to see the "evidence", no one else gets to either!
Hugs,
Claudia
One thing you have to say about us cancer survivors, espcially breast cancer survivors, we have great senses of humor. I'm laughing so hard at these posts. Here I thought I was alone in the arid desert of menopause only to find that I'm in the midst of a full caravan of desert dwellers. Here's to finding my oasis - estring, spit, KY, vagifem, whatever, something has got to work to end the drought. Love you guys. Marilynn0 -
Ummmm...
Doesn't Hawaii and Australia have topless beaches? Or did I get that wrong? Don't you think it's funny how we start with a question and it changes to something completely different? We can't seem to stick to the subject. It's probably my fault, I'm really bad. I'm always changing the subject. :>)0 -

Marilynn, you are so right. We do have a special sense of humor don't we? I guess after showing our girls to every Tom, **** & Harry we are entitled. I used to be put off about showing my new scared breast, but my plastic actually got me over that when he asked me to flash him the last time I went. LOL. Thank goodness I don't blush easily. Most western European beaches are topless...Marcia527 said:Ummmm...

and some are clothing optional....
I actually sat on a beach in south Holland topless...after leaving my beau's family in another part of the beach, saying I needed a nap, and I was going to the room...lol...This was pre-cancer...but I'm fairly sure that even now, I wouldn't get many looks either way...

I just joined this forum and I know I am responding to an old post - looks like 2008 - but, I am wondering about Estring usage. I am a Stage 1 survivor out about 10 years, age 65, full hysterectomy with painful intercourse. Ha, that's a real opener, isn't it? I've been married 30 years to a great man and for the last several years intercourse has been so painful we've had to give it up. Now, I've decided "quality of life" is important in our twilight years and am considering the Estring. I have used it for three months now and it has helped. I am wondering if I should keep using it. Anyone out there know of any recent research on the Estring and breast cancer? Or, any other opinions? I would love to re-open this discussion as it's been a few years since it has been discussed and I know I'm not the only woman with this issue. Many thanks to all you sisters out there. It's wonderful to know there are other women who know what it's like.
