RIDDLE: Brad stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 22nd floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived the fall?

    my guess
my guess is that since the window is dirty and soot-smeared, the window he was looking out wasn't on the outside wall of the building, but above the area where all the heating/etc equipment was so when he jumped he landed on the landing where all that stuff is instead of 22 floors down. The outside window wouldn't have been a slider, huh?

    window
He was outside the window to begin with and thus jumped into the room.
