Hello all,
I used to come in (here) all the time 1 1/2 years ago. I still do come in and read and sometimes comment. For the new people, I was Stage 3, ascending colon cancer, 12"removed,6 months of chemo and as of Dec. '07 I have been NED. Yea!!
I finally talked my husband into having a colonoscopy (at the age of 60). He had it done this past Monday. I was so proud of him. Doctor did find some polyups and we will hear at the end of the week if all is okay, and I am sure they will be....BUT...knowing what I went through, your mind sometimes wonders. You know, is it going to be cancer?
I'm pretty upbeat all the time and still will be, if I could get rid of this little voice (until we hear the results).
I'm asking for prayers that there is no cancer.
My prayer to all of you. Keep your energy for moving forward. That and a good attitude really helps!

best wishes!
Waiting is always the absolute worst thing to have to do! I am saying a prayer right now that no cancer will be found. Can you request to get the results over the telephone (or pick up the scan report in person from the office) before going in for your husband's appointment? I find, myself, that it makes it easier for me on the day of the appointment- I request the results even if they're ready just the afternoon before. Not just because I hate waiting, but because that way I have time for it to all sink in and by the time/day of my appt., I'm not emotional and I'm completely ready with my questions and to discuss things rationally. Just a hint of advice, but hoping there won't be anything that needs to be discussed!
Best wishes to you and your husband,

Good for you! and for hubby!
The chance that anything is wrong is slight, especially since you both know the symptoms, and so would have checked on them earlier...
MY GI guy gave me results right afterward, while I was still groggy...lol...I sort of was directing my own colonoscopy...lol!
Good vibes for a clean scope!!!
Hugs to you both, Kathi0
