Its hard for me to grasp it, but I only have six radiation treatments left and I am done. Do not have to have additional therapy because I am negative.

Will meet with my oncologist on November 3 regarding removal of the port and whether other tests will be done later.

Doesn't seem possible - 8 months ago it seemed like it would take forever and here it is and the time has gone by so swiftly. I was so busy living the treatments, problems, etc. didn't realize the passage of time - just went from one treatment to another without thinking about the days passing.

Praise the Lord for this website - you have helped me more than you can imagine - even if I didn't post, I read them all - the courage displayed in your posts is amazing. You were right - I could get through this.....

    YAY!!!!!
It truly is amazing, isn't it? None of us truly believes we will be on the other side of cancer treatment, and being an encouragement to those who follow us in here. And yet~ LOOK AT YOU!!!!! Time has really flown by; I remember your original posts, with the same fears and dread about mortalilty and treatment as we all had. I'm so glad that you kept coming in here to either read posts or write some; we are truly a family, aren't we? We are the Best Parts of any family, rejoicing, crying and empathizing with every part of this journey.

Thanks for sharing your good news! Something to smile about, indeed!

    Hugs,
    Claudia

You say the site helps you,
You say the site helps you, well you helped me! I feel great reading your post today, joining you in your celebration and admiring you for what we all know too well - getting through some hard times. Good job! There may still be a few bumps on the road to recovery, but the scenery gets better from here on out. Best wishes, love, Joyce

    Thank you
Your comments are so welcome. Thank you for uplifting words.

My hair has filled in somehwat to a "five oclock shadow" fuzzy thing. Believe it is growing in dark. Dyed it for so many years really don't know what the color should be so its a mystery to me too.

Have lost all but 4 toenails in the past two weeks - on the plus side, don't have to cut them for a good long time. From examining the nails, there is only one that is still pink and looks normal. The others are chalky and loose. BUT it doesn't hurt when they come off so that's a plus.

Amazing what you can put up with after all of the torture a person is put through. Through this journey my relationship with my daughter has been mended, I have a greater appreciation for small things, have learned to accept help without feeling guilty and in general just happy to be here. Learned that worry is suffering in advance - so make every effort not to do that.

To life ladies!!! Thanks again. marlene

    I'm warning you
If I have to pull this car over you are in big trouble! That goes along with no pins in your underwear in case of an accident.

Hilarious. Four to go counting today - the machine broke down Monday so they tacked it on the end. Tuesday the 4th is the last one.

    I remember when...
We had to buy a van with bucket seats in the back for the boys or they drove us crazy. One didn't like to be touched and the other liked to touch to make him squeal. Glad those days are over.
