Celebrate our uniqueness...
I, too, send my group cyber hug.
We all are different. And, in the final analysis, our fight is very personal. As we all try to be strong enough to fight the disease, we become strong in other ways.
We also hopefully know when to back off, and respect each other's uniqueness.
Hugs, Kathi0 -
Here's another cyber hug
Here's another cyber hug coming your way Joycelouise. As a survivor, I came here to see if I could find some encouragement and positive energy, and I have - thanks to you all for that. I'm choosing to stay away from the posts that do not do that for me. My hope is for each of us to find peace and happiness in our journeys, and just enjoy life! Best wishes - Fran0 -
RE, I like that little saying! I also liked your comment about cancer being a beast and not allowing it to ruin your life or steal your happiness. You rock! Your posts make my heart smile. Best wishes - FranRE said:NOTHING LIKE A HUG
Ahhh Joyce, how nice! Let me be the bearer of your second cyber (((((HUG)))))!
May you always have love to share, health to spare, and friends that care.

Hugs from me
Consider yourself hugged.
If we all avoid the post it will go away. The voice of reason did not work so its best just to let it lie and forget about it. It made me sad too - I allowed 2 minutes and let it go.
This journey is just too darned hard to allow another person to live rent free in our heads. We need the room for more important things like getting well, spreading joy and doing the naked happy dance. Love to all. marlene0 -
What a beautiful present
What a beautiful present from you all this morning. I am going to take all that cyber hug energy and do something wonderful with my day! Also, you all show me a smart sense of perspective. Seems that instead of getting chemo brain I got chemotrigger. I just don't stay as balanced as I used to. I like what you said, Kathe, about gaining in strength both for the battle and in general. Maybe my unease lately is just the feel of my new, stronger horse, beneath my reins. I will have to learn to ride this thing. But for now, I think just keeping my feet on the ground and getting hugged will do perfect! love, Joyce
P.S. Ninja - The 31st, makes us a week apart. Guess we can't tweak that far to meet up in side by side chairs. But, I will tell you that they decorated the chemo room for Breast Cancer Awareness week. As I sat with the herceptin dripping in and saw the pink crepe paper decorations (so festive) I was actually pretty moved. What weird circumstances we find ourselves in these days. Oh, and another thing. I found if I sit in the first chair I can snack at the goodie table without unplugging. Not a bad seat. Best luck for your next drip, my love.0 -
Here's another cyber hug to
Here's another cyber hug to the group. Thanks Joyce for reminding us how special we all are here and how important the friends we've made. I always said we need to surround ourselves with positive people, because this beast is negative enough. Love you all, Lili0 -

I liked Baseball's perspective on not allowing people to live Rent Free in our heads. Makes perfect sense. I'm going to write that one down.
Happy BOOB-OWEEN to all! (Heard that saying the other day on the radio about the pink taking over the orange in October and got a chuckle!)

Hi Joyce,
I'm reminded of what you told me when I complained about the chemo bus running over me---I'm in charge of the bus and driving it---and we can all drive our "naked dance" bus to the destination we pick. I pick right here for the support I get and for the support I can, hopefully, give--so hop on because it's full of cyber hugs given by Amazon women (hear us roar!).

I feel the love again today!
I feel the love again today! Thanks. And thanks to all of you for those pauses you make over the keys, searching for just the right words or image. When your messages are done, that time and care you put into them is potent. (Norcal, loved the amazon bus.) YOU ALL BRIGHTEN MY LIFE. (I wrote it in caps because it is SO true!) love, Joyce0 -

If my calculations are
Joyce
If my calculations are right, I will stop by after work on the 13th?. I have been trying to stop by but my last two weeks of radiation were really hard on me, chemo brain took over again and I almost crossed over to the dark side (OK, too much starwars LOL) I'm doing better now, I'm back at work full time, I'm almost thinking straight again and my radiation scars are healing, still working on the emotional scars but I'm coming right along. I have also been thinking about Mo, she was supposed to have her surgery in Sept. Anyway, I look forwar to seeing you on the 13th.
Have another cyber hug today and a real one on the 13th.

Thanks, Patty. If you can stop by I would love to see you, but most importantly, don't stress in any way. The emotional healing can be tough. It seems unfair that we are left with it, huh? Like having to do a bunch of dirty dishes after you fixed a big meal for everyone! You can count on me for a good ear and sympathetic heart. I am not done with my healing yet..but it is getting easier. We kind of heal from the surface down. At first we can act happy in little things, later comes that deep down change (I hope!). And the roller coaster is still operating. Sorry you had a couple bad weeks there in radiation. I take it you have had your first herceptin? They are a breeze. Just think of all the good it is doing! Love to you ninja fighter, Joyce0 -
