This one is for the guys only (sorry ladies)
Since I have been on 5fu everytime I ejaculate it burns. Is this normal? It kind of ruins the whole experience, you know what I mean. It doesn't burn when I pee. Doctor didn't mention anything about burning.
Please let me know if any of you experienced this and how soon after chemo is done will things become "normal".
Thanks,
Mickey

I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself!
mc1717, although I certainly don't have anything to add to your topic, I couldn't resist coming in since you were practically BEGGING us to come in with that title! LOL! I am sure you will have lots of female looky-loos and some male help.

And another thing...
Mickey, even tho I don't have the plumbing, I DO have male patient partners. They have not complained about this in particular, BUT (now don't be dismayed), if you are getting radiation, there may be some short-term performance issues. THAT I have heard.
Ask your oncologist about this burning...maybe some dietary change will help...

I had some of the same
I had some of the same symptom-I always attributed mine to the radiation that I recevie dbefore surgery, but it might well have been the chemotherapy as well. That particular pain ebbed after I completed my chemotherapy treatment, but it did linger for awhile. Now, almost 10 years out-I can't even quite remember when it went away for good. Stay well hydrated-I think that helped!0 -

Ever how hard this is for me to say here we go...and remember Im only doing this for the medical field and also because none of the girls on here will read this (yeah righttttt)...
The rad/chemo treatment subsided the feeling somewhat for me which in essence was a reward for her in longevity,(probably due to swelling)...although when it was my time it was excruiating...she said if it hurts that bad we will wait for a while ..naw hun its ok was my answer.....it felt as though someone had ran their hand down my uretha (whatever its called for a man) and grabbed both my testicles and pulled them back out through the same place....it has now eased up after surgery but is still a little tender....but as they say
************NO PAIN NO GAIN************* but danggggg sometimes I wanna just have a cheeseburger instead.....hehe.....
OK another thing...when I know its gonna be a long night (sexually) a lortab helps me not hurt near as much and I actually enjoy the whole session especially the end cause it doesn't hardly hurt anymore. Be careful though Lortabs can be addicting......but so can sex....haha...good luck bud and may your sail forever fly..............0
