tomorrow is the pet scan
She has expressed her concern with the test and says that she has four spots she points to on her abdomin where she thinks the cancer has spread. That scares me because she was right when they diagnosed her that it wasn't just in her ovaries. I am being hopeful that she is wrong and that she sometimes associates normal muscle pain with cancer because when you have cancer, everything becomes a symptom of it.
On another note, a good friend of mine who had breast cancer a few years back is undergoing tests because of a potential reoccurence. Please keep her and my mother in your prayers for good results of their upcoming tests. I hope you are all well today and out there making memories.
peace be with you.

Your mother's tests
Kristi, I said a prayer for your mother and your friend for their upcoming tests. As far as your mother pointing to 4 spots in her abdomen where she believes she has cancer growing again, I pray that is just part of the fear of the unknown and everything feels like a recurrence. I was CERTAIN before my last scan that they were going to find cancer, I had all kinds of "symptoms" and the scan came out clear and my "symptoms" went away. You are doing a great job of distracting your mother, only one more day till the test, another (or more?) for the results. Hang in there!

Sending Prayers
I am sending prayers for your mother and your friend. The waiting is so hard. I pray that you get the news that you want to hear. I agree that when you have cancer every ache and pain becomes a symptom. Your mother is so lucky to have such a caring daughter. Please keep us updated.

Praying for all of you
It is always a worrisome time when we have to do CT/PET scans. I was getting mine every 3 months and it drove me crazy. You've got to trust the doctors but most of all you have to trust God. The CEA tests aren't always reliable. I pray for you and your mother and your friend that the results will be negative. Keep the Faith, love, Randy0 -

Well, I am supposed to get the results today. I'm a nervous wreck. Called this morning, they said call this afternoon. Called this afternoon, they said call back in an hour. This will be the slowest hour of my life. Regardless of the results, my dad turned 60 years old yesterday and I'm having a party tonight. If the results are good then I will tell my family, if they are bad I don't know what I will do just yet.0 -

HUGS and sending positive vibes that all is well. I wish doctors could feel what they put us through when we have to wait for these results. Sometimes the wait is worse then getting the test!
