Nose dripping

I realize this is trivial but it is making me crazy - has anyone else out there had a constant nasal drip while undergoing treatment? Been taking my allergy pills but they don't seem to be working for that particular issue. Am I alone in this?

    Joys of Chemo?
    It could be because, along with the hair on your head, you've lost the hairs in your nose which are the filters. I've got this intermittently, and my eyes drip as well, due to less eyelashes to filter out the junk in our air and protect our eyes.

    Add all this "leaking" to sweating heads at night and it makes a really attractive picture. I've considered just wearing a bag over my head lined with Kleenex---LOL!

    I thought about just stuffing it with kleenex but it makes it hard to breath!

    I do too...
    I also have allergies and I also take my allergy meds. But while in treatment, I have sneezing and blowing jags that sometimes last for hours. Really inconvenient at times, and also annoying. Eyes run, nose runs...so far it's not constant and I just keep lots of tissues handy.

    I also am suffering from insomnia since my mastectomy. I sleep a couple of hours at a time and that's all. I am up and down all night.
    My family doctor keeps telling me that I need my rest, and I wish I could sleep through a night, believe me. But even if I take the Xanax that she has prescribed, I only sleep a few short hours.
    Has anyone else experinced insomnia??

    Leaky Nose
    I too had that problem with a drippy nose. I do think it's because we lose the nose hair also. CR, your comment about not sleeping? I can't remember when the last time was that I slept through the night. It seems that since I was diagnosed, I am destined to sleeping for just a few hours. Now, that I'm on the Tamoxifen, it's even worse due to the hot flashes. It seems that I'm up all night. Hugs, LIli

    Yes, my nose dripped constantly during chemo. I was told it had something to do with the loss od nasal hairs. I'm guessing also the lowered white count could be leaving you vulnerable to low grade colds etc...It is very annoying, I know. But remember, its temporary, thank goodness!

    Insomnia
    Try spraying your pillow lightly with lavender. Don't know why it works, but it helped me and I don't question success. I increased sleep time from 2 hrs to 6-7 hrs.

    Of course it is not dripping right now because I tattled on it. Makes sense - I'll just buy extra tissues. Went through a roll of tp with one sneezing blowing jag. Glad to know it stops eventually.

    Yes, yes, yes! Drip drip drip---and my eyes watered ALL of the time! So much for eye make up making me not look like a sick, pale chemo pt~ I looked like a sick, pale Lemur or something instead!

    Good thing losing the pubic hair doen't make us drip drip drip~ that would be waaaay too much of an insult, wouldn't it??? LOL

    Sheesh~ Cancer treatment is more fun than a barrell of monkeys, isn't it??? Keeps us humble, thats for darn sure! :-)

    One good thing - we've all had a "free" Brazilian bikini wax. Not sure how much those things cost, and definitely not displaying this bod in a bikini. But the thought occurred to me today and had to write it down.
