Cancer is back..
Just an update on my journey. I had been having pain in my liver area for about 4 days, called oncologist last Wednesday and he saw me the same day. Cat scan on Thursday, results over phone on Saturday. Cancer is in right lobe of liver, left lung, right lung, upper chest, lower chest, sternum area, invading 2 vessels so any surgery with liver is not an option this time. This came as sort of a shock as I just had surgery June 4th 2008 to remove lung nodule. My oncologist has sent scan results to liver surgeon at OHSU to get his opinion. Oncologist mentioned 2 options, Folfiri with irinotecan and Stereo Tactic Radiation Surgery ( pin pointed location )..He is out of town until Thursday but I have a lot of questions to ask when he gets back to his office. I am now waiting on OHSU to call me. I have a lot of energy and good attitude still so I will fight this again. I will post my options when I get all my information later. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily..hugs to all, Audrey.

Prayers and Positive Thoughts
Audrey, I am so sorry. I will add you to my prayers and will send positive thoughts your way. Let us know which option you take and keep fighting! You are a warrior--stay strong. Don't know if you have already read it or not, but There's No Place Like Hope by Vicki Gerard was a big comfort to me when I was first dx'd. Good luck!

Thoughts are with you...
It is good that they have some options for you. Prayers and good thoughts are coming your way. I, too, have six grandchildren and plan on being around as long as possible. I remember when I was first dx'd, my daughter-in-law was pregnant and I wondered if I would see him born. We celebrated his second birthday last week...what joy and comfort they are. Hang in there through that tough waiting period...your attitude is wonderful.0 -
